  2. Hi Folks, since you introduced the quick weaponmode cycle thingy, i can't cycle through scope modes anymore or switch to CQB sights. (should be shift+f) I updated my userconfig and Ace_key files and searched this thread but i didn't find a solution. I also tried to bind the quick cycle keys to "alt" instead to "shift". :confused: Any ideas? Greets Crushus
  3. OK, maybe I'm a little emotional and unfair on this part. It takes some time to figure out the installation process and for unexperienced useres there are some hurdles on the way, granted. I'll take back the "stupid" (not the lazy, though). Still, I have the impression that everything regarding this topic has been said and I'm frustrated that virtually 90% of the ACE thread is used for support questions. Hence my suggestion: Make a seperate support thread. Best regards
  4. First of all: [hymn of praise] @Sickboy, Xeno and the rest of the ACE Team: You are doing a splendid job and your mod is (together with the BWMod) the only reason I'm still playing this game. The huge ammount of time and dedication you put in this mod made ArmA2 a true gem for military simulation fans such as me. I can only say one thing: THANK YOU [/hymn of praise] And now to my only request: Could we make a seperate thread exclusively for discussing ACE gameplay and features. It seriuosly annoys me, that every time I look into this thread the only things to be read are the posts of people to stupid or to lazy to search this thread for installation instructions (not that the installation is complicated) or the posts of people making demands and whining like spoiled childs that only found a new toy car under the christmas tree and not the live pony the wanted. So please: Could we split this thread in ACE-support and ACE-Discussion? I think there is much to be shared on the actual CONTENT of your mod, but in this thread, every discussion about that is doomed to be silenced immediatly by a flood of complaints and demands. :angryfire: BTW: The manner you guys react to all this bitching rivals the patience of a 100 year old buddhist monk on opium!   5. Shame about the Feldjäger, but still, brilliant stuff there. Regarding the Backpacks: I tried adding the line "cancarrybackpack = 1;" as suggested here, but no joy. :confused: The game froze when i tried that. But maybe this was just me being sloppy with eliteness and all. I'll try some more stuff (maybe the reason lies in the ace base classes) and let you know when I find something out. EDIT: Nevermind. A simple ACE Update did the job. Memo to myself: Update first, THEN start complaining Best Regards
  6. One minor issue: When I'm using ace, the new units can't use rucksacks (your retextured BI KSKS guys can, though). Do you plan on releasing ACE compatible configs of your units? If not, i'd apreciate some tips on which configs one would have to edit to make backpacks work. Of course, they'd only be for private use and I wouldn't share them wihout your consent. Best regards
  7. You, good Sir, are my personal hero. :bounce3: Lob und Anerkennung! BTW: The guy with the black vest and the sunglasses reminds me of some pictures of feldjäger (Bundeswehr MP) ive seen in Afghanistan. Maybe you could do a simple retexture with the black MP/Feldjäger bagde.

    They look absolutely fantastic (and remind me of my basic training in the army, especially of the fun of cleaning one of those puppies after a mud-bath :angryfire:) As to your porblem with the handguard/handposition: The Bundeswehr uses the G3ZF in Afghanistan in a DMR Role, and it is often outfittet with a handgrip. Judging from your other mods, you are acustomed to the animations and modelling work necessary for such a weapon layout. So why don't make a G3ZF with foregrip and avoid the current animation problem?;) But, most important: keep up your great work!! Crushus Maximus
