I installed 1.60 on both my game machine and dedicated server and what I thought was a bug in my setup of Domination was fixed. Player Marker and Show Player Names now take the defaults that I set for them. The server seems to run about 50% faster now. The default difficulty seems to be "veteran", not "regular" now, but that's no big deal. Players have noted that while some of the physics issues have been fixed, they still aren't quite right on Chenarus, M1A2 tanks flip too easily on rocks still, and a Hellfire missile from a chopper still sends UAZs flying. But overall, my players and I are pleased with the upgrade.

I ran into this when I started running an ArmA II OA CO server. I think with the 1.59 patch the game query stopped working until I switched to using Gamespy3 protocol. -
The CoB Squad is now known as "CGS" which stands for "Casual Gaming Squad". The original "Clan of Brothers" has been reactivated, but does not support OFP. We changed our name to avoid confusion. We are still running a Operation Flashpoint Resistance 1.96 server. No addons are required except for editorupdate102, which most people have, and if you don't, you can download a copy from our web site. We no longer have an "official" squad night on the OFP server, as it is still the most popular game that we support, so come and play anytime! Membership in the CGS OFP squad is open to anyone that attains a score of 500 or better, or accumulates at least 50 hours of playing time on our server. Yes, we have our own tracking software and the results of all of our servers are displayed on our web site at cgs.telcen.com.

The server runs a modified version of Domination with AI as a persistent mission on the Chenarus map. No mods whatsoever are needed or welcome. All you need is ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead Combined Operations version 1.59 and you are good to go. All vehicles are unlocked, but we request that you do not fly unless you have practiced in single player mode or elsewhere first. No matter if you like to fly, command a tank or pound the ground, there is a mission slot just for you. Official gaming/squad night is every Friday at 7 PM Central Time. Of course everyone is welcome to play at any time. The web site with server rules and updates is at cgs.telcen.com. You will need to set up an account to view most of the contents but we don't ask for your email or any other personal info, we just have you answer a question to prove that you are a human and not a spam bot. Well guess what, GameSpy is not functioning at this time with OFP Resistance GOTY version 1.96. The correct IP and port for the Clan Of Brothers server is now 173.163.134.186:2302 (The backup server is now the primary server and the CTI/DM/TDM server is no longer up)

OA Campaign: 05 Open Seasons - suddenly ends ("failed")

I was wondering if going back to rearm after you get the destroy AA task triggers the fail, but from the above discussion, it looks like the mission has a time limit. Messing around with the ULB burns up a lot of time, I'll just try taking out the AA with the Apache only and see how I do. -
If you get within 500 meters of the mine AND you get spotted, the countdown timer in the game starts. Best way I found to play this to more or less follow the guerilla forces down the hill and come in from the main entry. If you do this with enough stealth the M2 at the main gate won't be manned, Snipe the guy on the roof and proceed as others have described. ---------- Post added at 02:30 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:08 AM ---------- Here is the scoop on saving the hostages:

Where to find good third party Single Player ARMA II missions

I had no problem with "Laser" working correctly. The air strike came in (it took a few minutes) blew up the bridge and the game auto saved. Good thing, it took me a couple of tries to extract. The missions I had problems with were the ground attack missions. Even though the convoy was totally destroyed, I never got credit for it and the mission would not end. "Lone Wolf" and "Shadow Killer" are my favorites. -
Just updated to 1.05 and Im having major issues

I had no problems with the 1.05 patch EXCEPT, in the Armory, if you get the "steal the item" challenge, you cannot play it, because as soon as the challenge loads, you get the message "the item has been destroyed". Has anyone else noticed this? -
Turning off houses' light

If it's like the original ArmA, there is no provision for turning off lighthouses and other buildings, only street lights. -
I love your mission! It's fun blowing stuff up. I'm not sure if my CTDs are the mission or just plain old ArmA 2 bugs, as the "factory" MP missions also CTD a lot.

Agreed! In the ArmA 1.14 game, Warfare gave you the option of buying Vehicles empty, there is no such option in ArmA 2. I wind up kicking the driver out and driving myself.
