so if we cant use second test score then tell me wtf cache is for. and thats such bs that its not accurate. run 5 tests and tell me which result is inaccurate. then again, dont tell me, tell yourself. my computer never bogged down to what this test runs, except space capsule. youre wrong it is a competition, look at all the posts of people here bragging, and read the text before you load the script(keep your eyes open for "the pissing contest continues".) im not competing, just sharing results with fellow amd'ers on the new processors, which this game obviously does not capitalize on.

score: 3475 thats 2nd time running, always use 2nd stat. it's much like going to a webpage you've already been to, thus loads faster. its not cheating. i ran many different gfx options. each setting i ran the app fully, then restarted mission and record its results, change to next setting, reboot arma2 and try next setting. best result happened to be my preferred settings. Interface Resolution: 1900x1200 3D resolution: 1900x1200 (100%) Texture Detail: normal Video Memory: very high AF: high AA: off Terrain: normal Objects: normal Shadow: normal PP effects: low Interface size: very small Aspect ratio: 16:10 widescreen i wish i could get ATT to work so i could disable vsync. the CCC vsync option doesnt seem to be working. p.s. no screenshot thanks to vista

just put the wrecks in the circle and it will fix? what about some of the crash sites that have like 3 pieces of a a10, all must be in the circle to get it fixed or just 1? i had a bunch of wrecks stacked around the wreck repair, but it wasnt repairing, whats the major malfunction?

as if 15-24 fps doesnt suck enough, how the *&$% can you play when you get none stop crashes.

Manhatten Walkthrough (Spoilers Obviously)
Shooter McGavin replied to Archamedes's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - OFFICIAL MISSIONS
call for heli, pres #'s 0, 8, 1, select LZ pickup with your gun, not the map. tell your squad to get in chopper, make sure they do, they board at the same time. once inside, the green transport menu comes up, hit M for map, then left click on desired destination on the map. if you close the transport screen by accident, open your map, then press # 0, then # 8 for communications, then # 1 for transport, then left click the map where you want your destination. if you want to modify your LZ in flight due to poor LZ selection on map, you can modify it before he crashes into trees or what be. open your map, 0,8,1 then re-set the drop off LZ by left clicking  -
AMD 3800 and 6000 X2 CPU
Shooter McGavin replied to Herbal Influence's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
herbal, in response to your 3d card upgrade, which you already did(sorry new to forums). you do not need 2 PCI-e's slots. you need a free PCI-E, and a regular PCI slot. reason being is the 9800 is extremely large. it actualy uses the regular pci slot for the heatsink exhaust. you only need 1 slot to plug in, the other is for the card's girth. ';' i cant believe some of the performance some of you are getting. i updated my 3d cards driver this month and it cut my performance in half. from my crash 2 desktop topic.... "....just downloaded the new patch for my 3d card, the game runs better(keyword better) but it cut my fps in 1/2. ive tried adjusting all 3d card settings, nothing realy helps. i was getting 40 fps before with high graphic setting, 1280x1024, 5 pre-rendered framerates, and vsync off i get about 15-17 fps now, turned down resolution and minimum graphics. i cant get any better than 20 fps." by the way, if you are experiencing CTD's, read my CTD topic, and turn your fan speeds up, worked for me. -
after the b*stards did away with Miles, you have to speak with Dressler to get tips of Lopotev's whereabouts. like any normal person, i chose the helicopter for transport. only when my squad and i get in, the helicopter pilot sits there on the ground(sometimes he'll hover above ground). a transport screen comes up initialy, but i cant do anything with it, nor can i bring it back up. i drove the jeep to Dressler, and even checked the 3 spots for Lopotev. i was furious when i couldnt find him, having to search Stary. now i cant get my hummer thru to Stary, even if i do, i have to chase Lopotev to the border, which i havent gotten to try. someone tell me the helicopter is the easy way out, and/or how to tell the pilot to move that expensive p.o.s. i re-took the command section in bootcamp, what am i missing?

arma2 crashing left and right
Shooter McGavin replied to Shooter McGavin's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
you know i thought the 9800 had a program for the temp, i had a 8800 before and it did. i cant find the temp. i do have another fan inside, and upgraded my power supply again when i got the 9800. i just downloaded the new patch for my 3d card, the game runs better(keyword better) but it cut my fps in 1/2. ive tried adjusting all 3d card settings, nothing realy helps. i was getting 40 fps before with high graphic setting, 1280x1024, 5 pre-rendered framerates, and vsync off i get about 15-17 fps now, turned down resolution and minimum graphics. i cant get any better than 20 fps. **i could have swore that the temp readings from my 9800 ran in the 60's, my old 8800 ran 75-80 (running cod4). the 9800 comes with a heatsink, so alot of the heat if any blows out the 3d card vent(the extra pci slot it uses) -
did some reading here, must say vsync off and 5 pre-rendered frame rate doubled my FPS for arma2. was running at 20, now max 40. but my problem is the crashing. took me a few hours to complete boot camp bc i couldnt stop it from crashing. im in the campaign mode, it can run for about 15-30 minutes before it crashes. i think i got almost an hour in. amd 5000 m7640n (dual core 2.6) 2 gigs of kingston ram 9800 gtx nvidia win xp should i return the game or can i get some help? thanks people
