  1. gotcha thanks guys, that helps a lot. I was missing out on the object's ID.
  2. I'm working on a mission and I'm trying to wrap my head around a couple of things that I cannot seem to get. I'm trying to make a mission to go blow up a couple of things and to kill a guy. From what I can tell I have to create a gamelogic object then attach a trigger to it using the !alive condition and that is what I'm having trouble with getting the syntax correct. I created the object and gave it a name then tried to associate a trigger to see if it was blown up or not using the !alive condition and in testing, I can blow it up, but never get the cue that it was done. Can one of you gurus PLEASE give me the gamelogic object and trigger explanation that I need for blowing up a bridge or a house and then the same for killing an Opfor guy. In using the wiki, I have found a huge listing of the commands but is there a detailed explanation of the correct syntax for them as well? Thanks for th ehelp in advance guys.
  3. I've pretty much gotten down Team Deathmatch with AI and now I'm trying to add a little to it and cannot seem to find what I'm looking for. It's basically a "Capture the Flag" map with ONE central flag and a radius around it. Whichever side currently "holds" the flag their points will go up. When the OPFOR takes it, their points will count and then vice versa. Whichever side gets the set number of points FIRST wins the match. I can't seem to find a FLAG and I don't know what TRIGGER or WAYPOINT I need to use to configure the flag. It works basically like the built in MP "SEIZE THE POINTS" if anyone has played that map. In that map, there are 5 points with 4 of them generating 1 point ever so often and the CENTER one generating 2 points. I just need the one point. I'm a Noob at this but I'm trying guys. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  4. Again, A noob question here and thanks for being patient... I am assuming that you guys are NOT using the ARMA 2 in game editor to create your missions and stuff. I was just curious what yer using...
  5. Again, thanks for the info guys....
  6. I've looked around and cannot seem to find a good guide on the various different description.ext files needed for the different types of MP games. Anyone got a link or info?
  7. cool, I'll look into it thanks man.
  8. Ahhhhh, gotcha, thanks guys
  9. Does anyone know how to DELETE multiplayer missions created with the WIZARD? We have gone in and edited some of the settings, just playing around, and now want to just DELETE those preset missions (no sense cluttering up the server with a bunch of missions when we can just edit them and set what we want). I can't seem to find how you DELETE those. Thanks for the info guys.
  10. *SIGH... I'm not complaining about ARMA2 being a realistic game. I LOOOOVE that it's realistic and that's why I'm PLAYING it. My problem with it is that the AI can see me through houses, rocks, TONS of high grass that "I" cannot see them back through. I don't WANT them dumbed down, but I DO want the playing field level. The AI being able to shoot me with an AK-47 from 250+ meters away THROUGH A LITTLE CRACK IN A WALL, while they are PRONE, and can SEE ME through 250+ meters of GRASS that I cannot see them back through is not "fair". It's a CODING issue that needs to be resolved so that the AI cannot see through things REAL players cannot see through. That's all my point was about, don't get so excited. Now back to the topic at hand.... Adjusting the sliders helped a LOT. Turn it down to around .50 and the AI becomes retarded and will just stand there and let you shoot at them. They do some running around and all, but don't seem to hunt for you. At .75 they will hunt you but it still seems like they have uncanny shooting ability from WAAAAAY OUT. So, for our server we have been playing with the slider between .65 and .75 Just remember, from what I can tell, whoever is HOSTING the server needs to make that change. People who join you will get whatever setting you have for the server.;) Thanks again for the help
  11. AHAAAAAAA!! Thanks brother... I had seen that before but did not know what the sliderws were for..... DOH!!!!
  12. Love this game guys. The only problem that I have is that when doing some LAN games with friends and we use the WIZARD to set up a game, it seems that the AI has superhuman sight and hearing, being able to kill us from waaaaaay out, sometimes using weapons that in no way would be accurate to shoot with at that range. And god help you when you open fire, no matter how far out. They instantly spot you and move in, unless yer out in the open where you die. Is there any way to turn down the AI superhuman sight and hearing without going into a dedicated server setup? Thanks for the info....
