    Project RACS

NOTE: Sorry about the lack of screenshots, I've been busy with some other things in real-life, so let's continue the tour of RACS units in Chernarus! Continuing the tour, I get back in the Landrover and we head back down the two-track leading to the base of the hill and I trail-blaze it across a field to the base's Ejército Médico Quirúrgico del Hospital (EMQH) or translated as we would say in English Medical Army Surgical Hospital (MASH). Several M113 Ambulances are ready to transport wounded RACS or other allied soldiers. I am afraid they will see some use. http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss25/bryinmich/ArmA/Chernarus-M-113Ambulances.jpg Front of the main EMQH of the RACS forces operating in Chernarus. Flags of the Kingdom of Sahrani, Republic of Chernarus, the Royal Sahrani Red Cross, and NATO flutter in the breeze. Not all of the surgical facilities have been deployed as they will be trucked in by container trucks later in the day after they have been offloaded off of the Isolda. http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss25/bryinmich/ArmA/Chernarus-EjrcitoMdicoQuirrgicodelHospitalEMQH.jpg Next up will be a preview of units of the rotary element of the Royal Army Corps Sahrani deployed to Chernarus. I've been busy testing the latest test release on these, so it might be a few days or more for screenshots.
  2. This is probably the best way and avoids a lot of duplication of effort. Let's hope that there will be some responses. It would be sad to lose these wonderful assets for ArmA II. Regards,
  3. Thank you again kylania. I will check out those links as soon as I'm done with this reply! I agree Snafu, and I have made many missions for me and my friends to play, but I sure learned alot from that tutorial! I hope to learn more. Wow, thanks for the reply RoyaltyinExile! I surely do appreciate it. I surely did miss the pop-up note in the tutorial video. I will check it over again and check my save settings in Control Panel. Sorry about the wrong forum, please feel free to move this thread to where it belongs. :o
  4. Sure is! I would also like to see a tutorial on how to make a briefing, with some Intros and Outros added to the mission. That would be most helpful! Thanks for posting kylania!
  5. Ah, that makes sense to me now. Thanks for posting kylania! UPDATE: I made the changes and it works! I had no doubt of course but I wanted to post to you that it is working as intended. I've also made some changes to the mission, I added in a full section of infantry for the two Jackal 2 MWMIK (HMG); four per vehicle, so now the Commander and Gunner positions are manned in both vehicles. I also added a second OPFOR Team (Squad Leader, AT Specialist (RPG-7), 2x Rifleman) to increase the challenge a bit, and I added the First Aid functions as well.
  6. Very cool list. Thanks for sharing! Now, how do we add a sound file and pilot to the PBO? :) I do know how to dePBO, but that's about it. Never messed with config files before.

ARMA 2 (OA) : DLC discussion thread

I will pay easily $10 for quality DLC like we saw in BAF and even up to $20 with double the content than we saw in BAF! Keep up the great work BIS and I hope you continue to support ArmA II with DLC for the forseeable future! Now, how about the Bundeswehr next followed up with France, Spain, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Belgium, awww heck, you get the idea... :)
  8. I own: Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis Operation Flashpoint: Resistance Operation Flashpoint: Red Hammer ArmA: Combat Operations ArmA: Queen's Gambit ArmA II ArmA II: Operation Arrowhead ArmA II: British Armed Forces Loving every minute of the campaigns and missions in all these games! I tend to take content slowly and absorb it. I try not to rush through it all. But what I really enjoy is the Mission Editor, all of the community mods, and being able to create my own missions!
  9. Wow, very nice update indeed! Thanks Young Eagle for the nice looking model and AASE for posting it!

Thanks Dwarden for the comment. I'm just showing off Wld427's and others hard work! I use alot of mods for added realism, many of which I have posted credit to in other posts on this thread. That would just be sick CRASH! But, a great idea nonetheless. I cannot speak for Wld and the other PRACS modders and I'm not entirely sure a land-mount was ever used for the naval Bofors. I of course could be wrong in that regard. Thank you mankyle for taking care of the links for the naval vessel threads! Thanks for saying so Wld and again, it's my pleasure to show off yours and other modders terrific work! Thanks opffever for the comment.

    Project RACS

Yes, they do! They've seen a fair share of action already from me. :) Certainly not a problem Vengeance1! I'm glad you were enthusiastic and I hope you enjoy PRACS when it eventually releases along with the naval vessels that are available from other modders now for download. Don't be a stranger, and I hope you enjoy the screenshots and PRACS!

It would be nice if people actually READ the posts. :) ...and at the bottom of that same post... I appreciate your enthusiasm nonetheless! So go download those wonderful ships and have a blast! :) PS: Thanks Wld for posting as well. Cheers! ---------- Post added at 08:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:23 PM ---------- RACS Air-defenses Heading further west in to our rather impressive base, I came across a M163 VADS (Vulcan Air-Defense System) deployed behind an earthen fortification. It is pointed east and from this vantage point can help defend Chernogorsk from possible Chedaki air-assault. Immediately behind the M163 and out to-sea can be seen the Spanish Armada vessel P-74 Patrullero Atalaya. The Spanish Armada was good enough to provide all four of their Serviola-class patrol vessels to the cause, keeping the southern shores of the province of South Zagoria free from piracy, illegal trafficking, and of course Chedaki insurgents. Also further out to sea can be seen are two of the NATO/ANZAC TF Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigates, station-keeping. http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss25/bryinmich/ArmA/Chernarus-M163VADS.jpg NOTE: P-74 Patrullero courtesy of the wonderful FFAA Mod. Thanks FFAA! I walk with Lt. Marny further up the hill, and at the highest point overlooking the Green Sea and guarding the western approaches of Chernogorsk, I take a picture of a RACS M-66 57mm AA gun as it and it's two-man crew stands watch. http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss25/bryinmich/ArmA/Chernarus-M-6657mmAAGun.jpg Next up: Health-care, RACS style!
  19. Sounds great OHally! I hope someone can step up to help you guys out with what you're looking to get done for your final release. Cheers and keep up the great work!

After Lt. Marny cleared the Leopard 2A4s for deployment, we signed the necessary documents and I asked him to accompany me on an inspection tour of the RACS units deployed to Chernarus thus far. As my official liaison with the CDF, I thought it would be a good way to impress the young lieutenant and build confidence among the CDF with my country's capabilities in the Green Sea Region. I captured this shot of my Landrover parked on the quay at Chernogorsk, Lt. Marny happened to be walking to the passenger side of my vehicle. http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss25/bryinmich/ArmA/Chernarus-Headingout.jpg After driving out along the quay and across the viaduct, we turned left and drove along the shoreline a mile or so west towards the main RACS base in Chernarus. It so happens that it lies in a neighborhood within the city limits of Chernogorsk, and the base surrounds a dozen or so homes. The locals immediately welcomed the security of living within the base itself and are on quite good standing with the RACS soldiers stationed there. Also the main power plant in Chernogorsk happens to be within the base as well; RACS providing protection to the main power supply to the capital city of South Zagoria province. We stop at the secondary gate leading to the main RACS Base in Chernarus and I speak with the Sergeant on duty, from the 3rd Battalion, 1st Brigade of the 1st Infantry Division. He clears me for my inspection tour and Lt. Marny as well. In the background you can see the main NATO/ANZAC Naval Task Force consisting of vessels that are part of Marine Expeditionary Unit 27. The TF itself consists of the USS Khe Sanh, four Arleigh Burke-class DDGs, four Oliver Hazard Perry class frigates, one French Navy La Fayette-class frigate, one Spanish Armada B.A.M.-class frigate, and one each from the Australian and New Zealand Navies ANZAC-class frigates, and numerous support vessels. http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss25/bryinmich/ArmA/Chernarus-RACSBasecheckpoint.jpg Once inside the base we catch up to the convoy that we spotted an hour or so earlier on the quay in Chernogorsk. Two Pinzgauer 6x6 Cargo trucks bring up the rear of the convoy. Immediately in front of them are three IVECO M250 support vehicles (from rear to forward Repair, Ammo, Fuel). http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss25/bryinmich/ArmA/Chernaurs-Convoy.jpg About 250 meters or so beyond we catch the forward end of the convoy, four Pinzgauer cargo trucks. http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss25/bryinmich/ArmA/Chernarus-Convoy2.jpg Stay tuned, more to come! DISCLAIMER: The naval vessels are not included in Project RACS. Sorry guys, you'll have to download those yourself, well the "Destroyer" comes with ArmA II. The good news is the other vessels, they're all available now for download from armaholic.com armedassault.info and many other fan-sites and mirrors!
  21. That would be awesome, let's hope that Inko agrees! :)

    DLC- What do YOU want?

In regards to naval units for ArmA 2, there's quite a wide-variety and selection of naval units including a placeable LHD, of course the two vessel types that came with ArmA 2; the Destroyer (Arleigh Burke Class) and Fregatta. They are placeable with a script placed in the Initialization box: this setPosASL [getPos this select 0, getPos this select 1, 0]; this setDir (getDir this); Also, you can download from armaholic.com and various other fansites and mirror locations the following: FFAA Mod (two Spanish Armada vessels: B.A.M.-class frigate and Patruello 72 corvette) ANZAC Mod (NZDF ANZAC-class frigate) Frigate Mod (Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate, French Navy La Fayette-class frigate, and Russian Navy Krivak-IV class frigate) Submarine addon (Los Angeles-class SSN, Akula-class SSN, and Delta-IV SSBN) Kuznetsov addon (Russian Navy aircraft carrier Kuznetsov) Nimitz addon (work in progress: US Navy aircraft carrier Nimitz) F260 (work in progress: German Navy Braunschweig-class corvette) I think that's all of them, but I'm sure the community will be releasing many more naval vessels. So, yah, if you want a navy, just go download it! Proof is in the pudding! :)

Recently arrived aboard the Sahrani-registered Isolda, Leopard 2A4s of the RACS Armoured Corps undergo inspection. Lieutenant Marny of the Chernarus Defence Force (CDF) speaks with Staff-Sergeant Emilio Gutierez of the Royal Sahrani Military Police; who is overseeing security at the Chernogorsk docks. Lieutenant Marny is expected to give clearance once inspections are complete for the armour to move inland and in to eventual combat operations. http://i558.photobucket.com/albums/ss25/bryinmich/ArmA/Chernarus-Leopard2A4s.jpg EDIT: Whoops typo on the title, they're Leopard 2A4s not A6s. Sorry, I knew that, just a momentary lapse there. :) DISCLAIMER: The vessel Isolda is not part of Project RACS. It's available from many ArmA II fansites including armaholic.com and armedassault.info for download. I just used it here for story-telling purposes.
  25. Question for the ONS Team: Will you be updating the config for INKO's disposables? I get a message since I updated INKO's that says ONS is not compatible with it. Thanks if so! :) PS: Nice work on the Leopard and the GWagon!
