    The 'end'..

Totally agree with you, Manhatten was the best part of the Campaign for me personally - it just got a bit silly after that, Especially with Dogs of War. The RTS, Base building element is a nice idea but - my god It is SO ropey and some what unmanagable as it stands, also its a bit too gamey for the SP campaign. To do it properly they need: A Proper base building interface, and option to play a virtual comander with the ability to jump in to the shoes of a unit (not visa versa) The command menus need a MASSIVE over haul in general. Base Defences are build as empty while Vehicles are as built as manned -that's really backwards! it should be the outher way around. They really need To do something about Supply trucks & vehicles path finding to prevent them running down your squad down every few minutes. Just make friendlies invunerable to being crushed by units on the same side - or soemthing like that. I say If your going to go down the RTS road, do it properly, or dont bother. It a very nice idea but it needs alot more work.

    Lagushina won't do anything?

I found 4 of her all at once, her and 3 clones by the church, arrested her (one of them) and extracted her ok to complete the mission, then AFTER she had been airlifted off, i was one my way back to base -and she drove past my LAV in her red hatch back :eek:
  4. I dont trust these clones... they must be conspiring something :j: Next time I will kill them all - up close and personal with the handgun yay:
  5. So i completed Manhatten (finally) :p But not without encounting at least one 'strange' little bug... It was on the mission to arrest Lagushina - the elussive red head. i found her wondering about near the church (her red hatchback parked out side as always) After the cutscene she happliy climbed in to the back of the LAV along with the rest of Razor team when ordered. So - I am about to step on the gas when i suddenly see Lagushina walking around in front of the LAV! WTF? I was so sure she entered the vehicle - so I command 'ALL disembark' and out she gets! So ....there are two Lagushinas, one following my team, another just milling about, then i look around and to my suprise i see a 3rd lagushina accross the road, then another and another - yes 5 or 6 Lagushina's in total. So think 'whatever' and order razor team and the orginal laushina back in to the LAV and drive to the extraction point west of the black mountain. Everything goes smoothy, the attackers and UAZs are buchered like infidel dogs :D and the Hind extracts Lagushina - 'mission accomplished' woot! :) So, I get the team back in the LAV and drive back to the road that travels north of the Black mountain and head Eastwards. On the way to my next task, I see a red hatch back coming from the opposite direction.... Sure enough, one the many 'Lagushina clones' is at the wheel and speeds right past me.... LOL So it doesnt break the game of anything, but I just thought it was funny. Anyone else had this happen?

    Why am I so bad?

Grass is a real pain, almost makes me not want to play as infantry at all.. :( Suggest BIS a new units in the next patch..... A lawn mower Or give us an option to drasiclly shorten/ remove the the grass

  8. Seriously what kind of f**ked up culture do we live in, where some idiot has to blame someone else for their misfortunes - and always feel like they need to be 'compensated' over the slightest little mishap? Try living in a country were people have war, famine, desease, no rights etc That is REAL PAIN. We live like kings by comparison. Life isnt always perfect - deal with it, shop whining and take some f**king responsibily for your own actions once in while. Im SICK of these greedy, pathetic, self rightiouse cowards who contribute NOTHING to mankind, they just want to Take, take, take and blame everyone else. no common sense, no consideration for anyone no moral fibre what so ever They are just spineless vermin that feed on the rest of us like a great cancer. I wish we could shoot them all... serveral times each... with an anti tank gun.... Rant over.
  9. ROFL! Yes! ditch the lawers and go see a physician! hopfully he can arrange a brain scan.. you know, to make sure you have one and all that. :D Then again, I'd love to see your case get thown out of court on the basis of a 'crap graphics card....'
  10. While youre at it - ask your lawyers if they can help you to 'stop being such a drama queen and get a life' .... Now who's going to compensate us for all the pain we experienced by reading your horse shit post?

    Fly the UAV

If I had purchased that UAV from an Arms dealer?.... I'd want a full refund. About $3,000,000 of Pilotless global hawk technology.......equiped with about $30 worth of 1990s webcam technology :( Seriously the more i play the Arma 2 campaign the more I starting to realise just how much stuff BI simply left for the player to just 'figure it out'

cant command the helicopter to move

....And when the 'transport' option mysteriously vanishes from the communications menu? :( (which it probably will) Then you might want to grab a Hummer, so polish up on your driving skills...
  13. Aww some please make a mod so we can blow stuff up with a goat. RPG equiped goat FTW! F**k you Mr poacher KABOOM!!
  14. I was happy when it crashed in my game, I got so sick an tired of my squad calling it out every 5 seconds "CONTACT! .... UAV..... WAY... IN FRONT..... OF .. US!" Almost shot the bloody thing down myself. We need a - 'Geuss what? The local malitia dont posess Global hawk technology, now please STFU!' command - in Arma2.
  15. mussle flash animation appears to get stuck on mounted machine guns - after the weapon has stopped being fired. happens on the hummer and UH-1 from what ive seen.

Flying at Night !!! Can't see jack

I say - for the sake of the campaign BI give us one of the following: 1) The Moon 2) Virtual Carrots. 3) A 'go to bed option' like GTA that fast forwards the game 8 hours -so we can ressume operations in the glorious day light. I refer to My WW2 example, were night Ops non-existent in WW2? No they werent, why? because they could see enough in the dark to know they weren't walking into tree....
  18. v11cu96

Flying at Night !!! Can't see jack

Imho, like OFP its TOO dark at night in ArmaA 2. I mean its totally BLACK! Night time is never totally black even in the most remote location in the real world, BI seem to underestimate the power of the sun, even when the world isnt facing it.... Also has anyone seen the Moon recently? Because of these, the human eye can adjust somewhat to darkness, we are not 100% blind without artifical light. Everything should be VERY dark blue with limited visibility/ blackness towards the horizon. At it is Night scenarios are unplayable without NV, you may as well switch your monitor off, ffs. Try driving a car with out NV and you can see NOTHING out side of your head lamps glow, this is not how it works in real life unless the weather is extreamly bad. And this is not diffcult to acheive in a 3D game engine either. Thank god ArmA2 isnt set in WW2 (before they had NV.)

    Russian Voice in Manhattan?

In the campaign I want to slap my squad for calling out 'CONTACT!' whenever they see a frendly or neutral unit, it seems to get worse at night (when it makes me jump the most!) I can understand its fair simulate the AI not being able to Insta-ID all units at a distances, but when I'm in my home base surrounded by friendly units, I dont want to be hearing hearing 'CONTACT!' every 5 seconds
  20. The T72 is easy to deal with, use your Marksman (Sykes)to snipe the T72 Gunner while he is 'turned out' with out him the tank is as good as a 40 ton paper weight. I sniped him from the hill just north of the insurgents base (and just to the south-east of the dam) also used this vantage point to snipe all but three of the bases infantry. Then Ran my squad back though the woods and attacked from the east to mop up, blew away the BMP with peek-a-boo from behind a tree with an RPG launcher, finnished the crippled T72 off with the same weapon, Then it was just a case of killing the static machine gunners (they are oblivious your presents to when approached from behind) and the insurgent leader, the most trouble I got was from an AA specialist hiding in the grass. Drove back home in one of their Urals, I tried to take the BMP (its unlocked) as it was not fully destroyed when the crew bailed out after my earlier rocket barrage from the woods - but sadly it was too low on fuel to make it to the nearest gas station I was thinking I might have to 'borrow' the Fuel truck from the big Apple to go back to the camp to see if it is salvagable. Although its pretty smashed, it could be handly for clearing out the last couple of outposts when i find them. Anyone know if the T-72 is unlocked?
  21. Yeah I had the same problem at first, at no point does the game or its manual instruct you on how to direct the chopper int he campaign, while its not exactly rocket science - its really frustrating to be left to 'guess'. I was in Hummer (gave up on the chopper) when i got that radio message - as such i couldnt make it in time, and the tossbag escaped to russia. Mission failed.
  22. lol Taking out the main insurgent base & out posts would been a walk in the park if i had a Hind  There is one AA specialist in the main camp, so long as you are quick to nail him & the BMP, the rest would be a turkey shoot.

    Bayonet/knife poll

Yeah melee weapons and attacks really ought to be possible in a sand box game like this. Civies should be able to throw rocks, but i guess the Physics in ArmA 2 probably couldnt handle this very well. LOL Grenades still remain perfectly 'vertical' in flight ... just like ofp (*sigh*)
  24. v11cu96

    Graphics engine improvement

Minor thing, but the bullet shattered glass effect looks really poor, the cracks should stay white rather than alter according to reflections and light. i hate the way constantly appear and dissapear, looks REALLY bad when they are in your windshield in 1st person view.... I hope to god they can manage to fix such a small thing. It was much better in OFP even though it wansn't dynamic.
  25. v11cu96

    Game physics

About walls, yeah they do fall like peice of wood, it means each wall section is a mere 6 polys for each face, maybe thats why? but you can still have better wall peices and breakage - with out going nuts on poly count, its not like we are asking for indervidual bricks to go flying... so there no excuse really... Anyone remember that OFP bug, where if you shot a tank with an automatic rifle, it would bounce up and down on its suspension as if an elephant was humping it :) havent tested this Arma 2, but i think its gone - thank god.
