Hello Everyone, I posted on another forum that had 35 pages worth of scripting info on it, but no one answered back within weeks...and I saw no other Forum that had the search results, that was the only one. So, anyways, I'm sure this has been answered, but like I said my search results only pulled up that one 35 page scripting info one BUT... How do I make objectives hidden but have the next one become "active" or shown up on the tasks list after the first objective is complete, then the second, etc? Example: once tskobj_1 is complete, then tskobj_2 will show up, right now I have all the tasks listed, but they are all shown up...like you can complete them in any order, which I don't want. Another Example: Once I blow up mig1, then it will say objective 1 complete, then objective 2 will list on the tasks list, and will tell me I need to blow up mig2, etc.

Thanks for the replies...So I take it that gigabyte Board is better :D...and about that X16 X16, thanks for clarifying that, I was about to post another Board that was actually x16 x16, but I'll go with the newer Gigabyte Board :). and about the processors, I know the Quad Core may be better now, for games that utilize only 4 cores now, but like BangTail said, in the future I'd be better equipped with the 6 Core one :)...and it's only 20-30 bucks more than a 980 BE :)...So, that's not an issue. -

Hello again everyone, I'm caught in a pickle again...lol Here was the Mobo I've been looking at for a while. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128510 UNTIL: I found this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13-131-637&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=4 Now, both of these are SLI Ready, and Support AM3 Cpu's and support X6's (which is probably what I'm gonna get, cpu wise). BUT, I had some questions about them...The Asus one says... 2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (single @ x8; dual @ x8/x8 mode) While the Gigabyte one says... PCI Express 2.0 x16 3 (x16, x8, x4) Now, Is there a big difference between using X8, compared to x16? (Both of the Mobo's use X8 in SLI)...But for now, I'm sticking to this one card, so would X8 be a lot different than x16? Or does it not matter much? (Gaming wise). Also, Might as well ask now :) But, Would the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T BE (3.3GHZ, but 3.7 Ghz Turbo Charged) be better than a AMD Phenom II X4 980 BE (3.7 GHZ)...I'm talking about Future proofing it, because if the X4 has only a slight performance upgrade from the X6, Then I'll just go with the X6...Since 6 cores will be better future wise. :) -

Thanks for the replies... Well, I just found out my Mobo can only support up to 95w...and these CPU's are 125w...does that mean my Mobo can't support them? Or does that just mean how much W's in my power supply it will use? -
Yeah, I just bought a EVGA GTX 560 TI 2 GB card...and I see no improvement over my 9800 gt...SO, like you said RangerPL...I'm looking into getting a new cpu. But I'm wondering if it's my RAM, and maybe something else also. Current Specs: GPU: "mentioned above" CPU: 2.2 GHZ Amd Phenom Quad Core (my thought on the bottleneck, was looking at this) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=19-103-894&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=2 (I know it's not an I5-2500K, which I heard is the best for gaming)...but I'm on a budget...and I'd have to buy an Intel supported Mobo. 6 G.B DDR2 Memory Windows Vista x64 Gateway Mobo (can support my new card, and that amd cpu...so I'm almost positive it has nothing to do with it) BUT: Would bumping from DDR2 to DDR3 make a difference in gaming? or should I just get a new cpu, Since that 2.2 GHZ one is OLD and slow?

Hello again Everyone . as mentioned, I bought this card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130683 I totally forgot about my cpu bottlenecking my old 9800 GT...when buying that card, so, in games like arma 2, I still only get 30-40 FPS on medium/low settings. But on games like Two Worlds 2, I can play maxed out and it runs flawlessly! Here are my current specs: EVGA GTX 560TI 2 GB 2.2 GHZ AMD Phenom Quad Core (Bottleneck) 6 GB DDR2 memory a old Gateway Mobo (it's running everything fine). But, here are my questions: 1. I'm looking at this CPU (I know it's not an I5-2500K which is the "best" gaming cpu out there)...but, Like mentioned in past posts, I'm on a budget (I'm only a teen) . http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ab=true&Page=2 This is compatible with my current Mobo, which is an AM2+ supported Mobo, but people have said this is compatible with it so, *woot* *woot*. (btw, that is a good cpu correct)?...and yes, I know "There is a Bulldozer cpu coming out sometime this year"...like many have mentioned...but I wont be able to buy a brand spanking new cpu. Now, my main question is...is getting DDR3 Memory and a new mobo (I'll end up getting these late this year, when I want to SLI and what not, if they aren't that important)...are those that important? or should I just focus on the GPU and CPU for right now? and wait till around late 2011 to get a new mobo and memory? I'm curious if anyone can tell me what a big difference it'll make (Mainly gaming wise) if I get DDR3 over DDR2 memory, and a new mobo. Because it would end up costing me 300+ to get a new cpu, mobo, and DDR3 memory...as to just 140 for the cpu...and just stick with DDR2 memory and my current mobo. If anyone could answer my questions, I'd be delighted! Thanks, -TodaysKiller -

@Froggy...Yeah, been getting that response on every forum I post on lol :/. @Leon...It's a Amd Phenom 2 not a 1 @PendragonUK...I'll look into it. Thanks for the help guys, It's my cpu and what not bottlenecking it...*sigh* -

I have no idea, Idk where to go if it could, I bought a computer at Best Buy, which had that Processor in it...and I haven't upgraded since...except to that 9800 GT I had, and which is now that GTX 560 TI 2 GB card. -

Well, I bought this card... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130683 and I'm noticing no difference AT ALL in my performance with arma 2, same lag when I put it on High settings, and what not...what is going on??? is it my cpu/mobo/memory that's bogging it down? Amd Phenom 2.2 GHZ Quad Core DDR2 6GB Memory Gateway Mobo RS760 or something like that. does having outdated stuff like that ^ make my gpu not run fast at all? -

Thanks for the replies both of u. I'll just post on this post to make it less cluttered. I know 6 cores might be better than 4 cores, but I mainly just play Video Games on my Computer...which I know a lot of games (if not 99% of all of them) don't use the 6 cores, and they are just now getting into the Quad-Core Era. (red orchestra 2 is recommending a Quad core 2.6 GHZ)...Also, how would the 955 fair on Arma 2? (Doesn't the cpu depend on how many units you can have on your screen before it lags)?...or something of the sort? And for the Price difference, the 955 is almost 100 bucks cheaper than that 6 core one (don't get me wrong, thanks for the Reply, but I'm limited on a budget). I'll see as time comes, like I mentioned in a previous post, I just ordered my new Graphics Card (got the 2Gb EVGA gtx 560 TI). So I need to calm down on buying stuff now, but in a month or two, I'll look into the new mobo/cpu/memory/etc...but thanks for the replies now, so I can get a glimpse at what is better now, instead of asking within a week of buying something :). -

Thanks for the reply! I think I might go the AMD route...It's a lot cheaper. I know 6 cores might be useless now, but what about in the future? (like a year or two)...or is that still pointless to get, since games are just now using 4 cores? I was looking at this cpu, it has the highest Ghz and is decently priced. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103894 I'm probably gonna go with that mobo you posted aswell (thanks for that)...but it says it's for AM3+? so does that mean that cpu won't work on it because it's a AM3? (or am I retarded, and does that mean it will support AM3 and newer cpu's)? Thanks for the help -TodaysKiller -

Alright, here is what I was looking at getting (tell me if this is a good setup or not please) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130683 (will SLI in the future, not a big need right now) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131637 (for AM3 6 GB support and SLI) OR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138162R (for the intel cpu) (is this a good mobo for that? idk how to read the mobo speeds and all that...I know it says it's SLI ready and can support i5's) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428 (I'm currently running DDR2, so I need an upgrade, this looked good) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072 (intel cpu) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103849 (Amd cpu) Well, that's what I was looking at...what do you think? -TodaysKiller -

Thanks for the reply...I'm planning on SLI'ing in the near future (and no, my board can't support it...it's a gateway piece of shit) :D. (it's running DDR2 Memory) which is another thing I'm going to upgrade...New CPU, GPU, Memory, Mobo :). intel are more expensive though...so I'm iffy about that. :/. also, here are the Gpu's I was deciding on: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130683 (one I am going to get) OR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130610 (the 1 GB Version I'd get, but others have lead me to get the 2 GB card). -TodaysKiller -

Like I said in an earlier post...THANK YOU! (Your like God of helping people :D) (and thank you to everyone else who has helped me in my decision)...With that said, I'm going with the 2 G.B...and not changing my mind, you gave me enough reasons why it's the better card, and I thank you for that. I noticed by CPU is getting a bit..."old" aswell, (which, this ins't an immediate buy...I'm looking at these...if you don't mind helping me some more) :D the one I have now is an AMD Phenom Quad Core 2.2 GHZ here are the ones I'm looking at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103808 (cheapest one, but it looks to be alright)? or am I wrong :D OR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727&nm_mc=Criteo&cm_cat=Processors+-+Desktops&cm_pla=AMD&cm_ite=19103727&cm_ven=BAC-CriteoBrand OR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103849 (I know I didn't list any Intel processors, but that's because my Mobo can't support them) (In the future I'll have to buy a new mobo aswell, when I want to SLI my cards :D) -

Alright, but would it matter for me? if I'm just planning on running 1 monitor and 1920 x w/e or w/e it is? and...would the extra GB help with loading units? and processing them more fluently? or is that based on the Cpu? and has nothing to do with gpu? I'll take your word for the gpu, since I've noticed no real Benchmark differences between a higher core clock/shader/etc card with 1 GB compared to the 2 GB. (and the 2 GB card would be better suited for future use, and if/when I sli them, it would be better than if I sl'ied two 1 gb cards? right? I'm gonna go with this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130683 Best one I could find within my price range, and has the 2 GB. is this evga. (there is a Palit, but I've never heard of them before...and plus, the evga has a 1 year higher warranty :D...in case anything did end up happening). :) -

Yeah, I was seeing that on a website yesterday, a guy ran benchmarks on games (granted, they were somewhat older games, like Crysis...l4d...and what not, but the 2GB card and the 1 GB card he was comparing were pretty much the same the whole way through). So that's pretty much why I'm back here asking Questions :)...I'll be saving 60 bucks on the 1 GB one...but, like you guys said...2 GB is better for arma 2 and what not. :/ Plus, the 1 GB card has a lifetime Warranty (although, the 2 GB has a 3 year...which should be plenty). -

Thanks for the help everyone (looks like I wasn't done asking questions after all BangTail :D)...I'll just quote this message so it's not all clunked into multi Quotes. So 2 GB is best for Arma 2...While the 1 GB is best for almost every other game? (would it still be good for Arma 2 though)? and/or Arma 3 in next year? (talking the 1 GB card). -

RocketFish... RF-700WPS2 and do you care to elaborate on why the 2 GB would be the better option? I've been told on other forums (red orchestra 2) that 2 G.B. cards would only really benefit if I had 2+ monitors, or if I planned on running higher than 1920 x 1080 Resolution (which, my current monitor can't do, unless that's because of my 9800 GT not allowing it...So, if that's true what they said, I should go with the 1 G.B)? And, I notice newer games (like RO2, Stronghold 3, etc) their system requirements are only a 512mb graphics card, so...will I be better going for the 2 GB card then? or are game making companies not likely going past 1 GB for a long time? -
