    [Coop53] Black Hawk Down

Sounds awesome, my guess is it's located in zargabad?
  3. Alright, Yeah, I've been playing on medium settings for 4 years now on my 9800 Gt...I'm sure I can suffice to playing on medium again :D. Looks like I'm going with the 2 GB card, thanks for clarifying which one would be better and why :).
  4. So I'd have to upgrade every year? :(...What if I were to run on medium settings those next years :) lol...and thanks for the help.
  5. Thanks for the reply... So A tad bit higher Core Clock and all that doesn't make much of a difference? (and yeah, wouldn't the 2 GB one have me set for a few years if new games require a minimum of a 1 GB card)? o.O
  6. It's no problem man, Thanks for helping...and nice find on that 2 GB 560 TI o.O!...Although that's almost a whopping 300 bucks...I think I could manage to get that somehow. Would I be better off getting that 2 GB card? or this one? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=14-121-425&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Page=2 It has 900 MHZ of Core Clock and 1800 MHZ Shader Clock...plus the 384 Stream Processors (or does a bit more Core Clock and all that not make much of a difference? compared to the 2 GB card)? -TodaysKiller
  7. Thanks for the Reply...I'm deciding on these Two now :)... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130604 OR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130662 I know you said go with the 2 GB one, But I'm getting different Opinions on the Red Orchestra 2 Forums (Don't get me wrong, I love that you're trying to help, I'm just trying to see why/how one of these cards is better than the other). I always thought having more Memory Size would help a lot also, but the guys there said, the TI one is like an "update, of the other 560's, and they over clocked it...and it has more over clocked abilities"...Well, true...but that card is only a 1 G.B. one :D...and it has the same Core Clock/Shader clock...but it has more Stream Processors, and a tad bit more Effective Memory Clock. Care to elaborate more on why the 2 G.B. one is better? (What you listed already is amazing, and thanks for that...But Care to go into more detail on why it would be a better buy than the 560 TI one)? Thanks a bunch -TodaysKiller
  8. Yeah, I know...but although I get 30-40 FPS...I get quite a bit of stuttering (and this FPS is with little to no units around)...In battle it dips to about 10-30. (especially if there is explosions going on). So, Although I get decent FPS, I'd love to have battles, or just walking around and driving for that matter that is smooth, and can handle some explosions going on, without lagging my system to high Hell. lol (and don't get me started on Cities...That almost makes me want to cry) :D
  9. Hey everyone, I already own Arma2/Arrowhead, but I'm only getting about 30-40 FPS on medium settings (no AA, etc, etc)... Here are my quick specs: 9800 GT 6 GB Ram AMD Phenom Quad Core 2.2 Ghz ----------------------------------------- I'm thinking about getting these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130662 OR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130686 I'm wondering what card do you guys/gals think is the best out of these two? Does the Memorzy Size mean A LOT in gaming? or would I be better going off with the second option, with the higher Shader Memory/Core Clock/Memory Clock/etc?

    ArmA3 Wishlist and Ideas

My Wishlist just has to do with optimization and what not... I'd love for Arma 3 to have good optimizations (specifically talking about towns)...it seems like only arma has "bad" towns and terrible lag for a game that I personally don't believe should. I hate to do this, but...In Call of Duty (curse thy name)... I get way better FPS when playing in town maps...and what not, is it because Arma doesn't really have "loading" screens to load different parts of the maps?...(or does it, and I'm just mentally challenged)?...if so, then it should get better FPS and less stuttering...am I correct? This is one thing I'm always looking forward to in every game...Give good optimizations/less stuttering/better FPS/etc...That's my wishlist

What do you think off the "future" setting

Well here is my opinion of the game, if you have problems with what my opinion is, say so in a mature manner, and not some kiddy tone...Ty. I personally don't like the futuristic weapons either, but...It's BI...SO I'm sure there will be good balance and what not to make this game worthwhile to everyone. This is about the max I can go into the future, games like Tom Clancy's future soldier is way to much in the future...such as cloaking, and other bs like that. So I'm 50/50 on this games direction...I don't like futuristic stuff, but at least it's things that are actually being tested (weapons, vehicles, etc)...and not some randomly made up stuff, like a laser shooting sniper rifle that can shoot from 100000000 miles stuff. Since this game is still being made true from the heart from BI, I'll definatly buy it, no doubt about it...I just wish they would of stayed modern (I know alot of you don't like that)...But hey, that's my opinion...(or even go back in the past, and do some other wars). -TodaysKiller
  14. Hello everyone, I've searched and searched but I guess the words I type in don't match any search criteria. Ok, so here's my question: I'm using Trigger Objectives and not Init's or w/e... But I was wondering, when I name a unit in a group (squad leader) soldier1 and put task1= soldier1 createsimpletask; blah blah blah it works for that soldier1 only, and not his group (I play as another soldier in his group but it doesn't show up)...I'm wondering how do I make it to where the whole group sees it when they enter the trigger? Also, My Mission includes something like the operation Arrowhead Campaign, where you can play as the Pilot, Soldier, Tank Crew, etc...and they have different objectives. How would I make it to where only that playable unit has that objective listed in triggers? I've tried task1= PlayableUnit createsimpletask; blah blah blah...and other things, one worked, but it showed an objective from the Pilots objective and also listed the tank crews objective...how would I get only the tank crew playable unit be listed for that actual unit, and the pilot has his own list...etc. -TodaysKiller

    Trigger Objective Question

Thanks for the help Kylania...I got it working in my trigger though :)

    Trigger Objective Question

I'll test the above code now. and for the different objectives...how would i get around it then? I wouldn't mind changing the code ---------- Post added at 05:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:40 PM ---------- Nvm I found out how to make it work! :)...Thanks for your help SmartGun. instead of putting { task1 = _x createSimpleTask ["NewTask"]; } forEach units group soldier1; You Put { obj1 = _x createSimpleTask ["NewTask"]; } forEach units group soldier1; ---------- Post added at 05:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:23 PM ----------

ARMA 2: OA beta build 82346

Awesome, testing now... Do we still use put in -malloc=3 or w/e?...my guess is we do?
  18. Just got my test runs done also, pretty much same results (on different maps and what not though)...but yeah, -malloc=3 is the best, stable, smooth, and no CTD's...and steady FPS.
  19. Well, Here is what I got from running e08 or w/e. (I'll test in game later on today). -malloc=0: 37, 37, 39 -malloc=1: 41, 37, 40 -malloc=2: 33, 33, 38 -malloc=3: 40, 42, 39 -malloc=4: keeps CTD, saying Arma 2 REINFORCMENTS has stopped working...(I don't have reinforcments). ??? So, Overall from benchmarking e08 wise, -malloc=3 seems to be the best in FPS wise, with 1 not far behind. Like I said, I'll test in game later and check performance/smoothness/etc.

    ArmA 2 : OA Beta Build 82128

Same thing for this Beta as the previous one...Getting Worse FPS, and noticing not much difference in "less stuttering" "smoother playing"...etc. Vanilla 1.59: (these are the benchmarks for the Arrowhead one E08)? or something like that: Test 1: 44 FPS Test 2: 42 FPS Test 3: 44 FPS Beta 82128: Test 1: 37 FPS Test 2: 35 FPS Test 3: 34 FPS I wish I could take a Video between Vanilla and this beta to see how the Smoothness, less stuttering weren't different at all...But there is nothing really to make it see how I see it...Since FRAPS usually lags my system a bit. I have medium Settings, Medium Quality, AA and VSYNC and all that stuff Disabled...(Yeah, I don't have a god Computer) :P. Short Specs: Nvidia 9800 GT AMD PHENOM 2.2GHZ Multi Core Processor. (is this my major bottleneck)? 6 GB RAM

ARMA 2: OA beta build 81921

I got the Exact opposite of you...:( I haven't had time to do actual gameplay (i'll do that when I have time)...But I did do some Benchmarks (OA benchmark 1)...and here are my results. Vanilla 1.59: Test 1: 43 FPS Test 2: 40 FPS Test 3: 45 FPS Beta 81921: Test 1: 39 FPS Test 2: 35 FPS Test 3: 35 FPS I run everything on Medium, with no AA or anything like that...(I don't have godly computers like most of you) :D. But as benchmarks have shown...I get better FPS wise in Vanilla then I do with the Beta...and like I said, I'll have to actually Test it out in game sometime later. With the non stuttering/etc?...I notice the Camera is stuttering a bit, with the Beta...Again, that's the benchmark...I'll have to see in game...But, with Vanilla it doesn't "lag" that much. Anyone else getting worse FPS with the Beta? EDIT: Pc Specs: Windows Vista Home Premium (x64) Service Pack 2 (build 6002) 2.20 gigahertz AMD Phenom 9550 Quad-Core (does a processor really do much to a game? as compared to a Video Card)? 6 GB Memory NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
