BIS does not run the servers, the owners of the servers run them as they like with their own rules and setups. Find another server.

ARMA 3 base terrain textures WORSE than the original Operation Flashpoint
ChiefBoatsRet replied to SandboxPlaya's topic in ARMA 3 - BETA DISCUSSION
Why don't you just report it in the proper place and vote it up instead all the hand wringing in a thread? -
Order Confirmed Message But apparently No orders.

Getting into credits??? Christ you couldn't even give them almost a hundred bucks, they had to settle for 50, where else could this have happened but here. -

BIS lost a lot of money on this deal by not being ready. I wanted the supporter version, had my money ready, tried really hard to give the extra money for stuff I already had and finally went to steam and got the Deluxe. No I will not send them the left over cash, I saved myself 40 bucks -
How to prepare steam to install Arma3 on your ssd
ChiefBoatsRet replied to Hud Dorph's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I just tried to reload a game i own on steam and it gave me the option to load it where Steam is or any of the three other drives I have. when It comes time to dl Arma3 those options should still be available. I am runing Steam in beta and followed the instructions on setting up to do this, works great. @Metralla... relax you still have 8.5 hours until DL, there is no preorder. Don't worry they are not going to run out of digital downloads, BIS will find your money and take it. -
Can I buy this after March 5th?
ChiefBoatsRet replied to Chinkslayer's topic in ARMA 3 - BETA DISCUSSION
I think he means the weekend after this weekend. -
I am more than willing to support a company that has stuck with its game and listened to it's community from the very beginning... Supporter all the way.

Perhaps while two BIS people are in imprisoned and things with them are unsettled is a reason for BIS to be very quiet and not bring out anything about this Greek island, including the Alpha. I don't think it has anything to do with resources, just a matter of laying low while the lawyers work.

I was not that impressed overall with this DLC and will consider my purchase as a donation to BIS just as I did with the other DLC. I didn't finish the campaigns in them and I know I won't complete this one either. I wouldn't call it a money grab like EA, thats only because I like BIS. This is kinda like I feel when I buy Girl Scout Cookies.

Enjoy, it's on the way. Hopefully you will get full enjoyment with it.

ATTN NOOBIES! - New to ArmA II or OA - Here's the place for your questions
ChiefBoatsRet replied to wraith_v's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
I don't understand, I also dl my games from Sprocket and have all the original installation files on my computer for Arma 2, OA and all the DLC's so I can uninstall and install at will. You can Dl the games you bought again at no extra cost just go to Sprocket and re download. Keep these stored safely someplace on your computer for such time that you will need them. -
Why is this game not more popular?
ChiefBoatsRet replied to LockDOwn's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Some people fish, build models, collect guns,or hunt as a hobby. I play Arma. I consider this a hobby that is perfected by the amount of time and energy that I put into it and it is improved and made better by other enthusiasts. The inner nuances are dug out by time spent with friends exploring this large sandbox in multiplayer in a good community. It is a niche inside of a niche, and hopefully will never become a mainstram game with all that goes along with being "accessable". Arma takes time and energy but for me the end result is the great feeling of completing a long hard fought mission with teamwork and tactics, not collecting ,trinkets, leveling up and scores like a pinball machine. Thank you BIS for staying true to yourself and the game you started over ten years ago. -
Actually there is a sure date: When BIS starts selling it.

I am sure that statement might be better enjoyed in the pretty much defunct Codemaster forums. Maybe not, the devs never visit there either. You sir have not secured a place of serious believability here.
