    "Sound Counter Not Found"

Ditto, same issue here since the latest patch... On Steam

    Patch 1.03 Satisfaction Survey

Totally not satisfied with the patch, See http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=82964 you broke MP sessions for steam users... Plz provide a quick fix for Steam users, WE ALL are experiencing the same issues. Also, the community seems to agree so far that this patch, although nice work, needs more work...I understand that patching, working with codes, the ability to brake more things then fixing it is more obvious. I wish you keep trying. I would hate to put this sim/game on the shelf for bad support... It has so much potentials.
  3. BI & Steam you taking notes? Plz reply....
  4. Yes I'm on Steam ( I would have bought the DVD, but seems not available in any stores in Canada (east cost))... BI Would you be so kind and look into this? Thanks in advance PS: Here's my Dxdiag if that might help... http://www.leductech.com/DxDiag.txt
  5. Hi, I’m always getting this type of message when I start any MP session; No Entry 'bin\config.bin/RscDisplayMultiplayerSetup/controls/CA_B_West.sideToggle'. I click on continue. It’s seems not interfering with my game. But I’m wondering why I’m I getting this message? Can I get rid of this message by default? Thanks in advance for your assistance. Regards, Moose
  6. Well I'm downloading through Steam just fine at 1.1 MB/Sec :D
  7. I'm totally against the subscription thing.
  8. Easy fix, re assigned your ventrilo to an unused key, like "u" "y" etc...

Very bad issue... its very important.

Is your PC overclocked? heat issue? re install the video card drivers, but before re installing, once you remove the old driver, use a clean sweap application to permanently remove the old nvidia drivers, this helps in corruption that you have shown. You can try http://downloads.guru3d.com/nVidia---Nasty-File-Remover-download-582.html
  11. On a hot summer day, no AC in the room, yes it helps :D, but careful with the static that this fan produces ;)
  12. Some small tricks to prevent CTD (Crash to desktop) with vista 1. Don’t install the game in the c:\Programs Files folder. Use a different directory, better yet, Install the game on a different hard drive that is being used by the OS. (This help the data transfer speed from the application to the swap file, basically install the game on the drive that is not using your swap file. As for the program files, seen many games not loving to work under that folder. The OS is very restrictive on that folder) 2. Right click on your Arma II executable, properties, then go on the compatibility tab then check Disable Visual Themes and check Disable Desktop composition. (This help in reducing GPU and CPU Cycles used by the OS to be released for Arma II, it will be restored once you exit the game) Flight Sim X from Microsoft disables this feature by default before your run FSX. Lesson learned…;) 3. Of course ensure that Run this program as administrator is also checked. 4. Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows Xp (service pack 2) can also be checked, but so far I was not required to check this box yet. 5. Now depending on the RAM you use on your PC, below 2 gigs, you might want to try to disabling the service Super fetch, this service helps in caching data on your hard drive to be used later, yields faster loading time on the long run for MS applications. But for a game that requires lots of ram it might cause crashes in the end. Maybe data collision who really knows. Best thing is try it. If it helps then kudos, if not, then you can always re enable the service. To disable the service, start, search, services.msc, locate the Super fetch service, stop it, and then disable it. Revert it back if that does not help. I’ve seen users saying it helps a lot in preventing CTD. But I have 4 gigs. I tried with Crysis, I’ve seen no difference with or without with my rig. But again no rigs are alike. 6. For sound problems with creative lab sound card. You can download for free from creative labs the application called Alchemy (always have the latest version), add the directory of the game in that application. I use this to fix some sound problems occurring when running Lockon in Vista. But so far with my Fatality I have not found any issues with Arma II. But then again not all rigs are the same. Anyhow hope it helps if not, then SOL;) Cheers "Moose"
