  3. hi , ok i have a few questions about mission map editing (for multiplayer map editing) -how do i create a spawn point using the multiplayer map editor (not wizard) as i can put players down but once your dead, your dead as i cant create a spawn point for each team -make helecopters and other vehicles re-spawn once dead -use/play a multiplayer map i downloaded when joining a server, i dont know where these maps are stored in game, ive seen a recent multiplayer downloaded maps cache folder for arma but dont know how to find them in game ive seen loads of cool multiplayer maps online but dont know how to do/make loads of the thingswhich are in the online ones, how do they make em so complex and do so much stuff e.g be able to use a helecopter to left a truck....(ive seen) Thanks alot im very confused :s :-)
  4. you probly couldnt drive the police cars because they wernt yours and had been locked, to drive one you have to BUY your own one, first withdraw money from the bank guy at police base then go to the vehicle buy guy at police base and pay for one(in short) People play this because it is so different to normal maps the amount of stuff thats changed is staggering, reguards to the creators, you can do illegal things (make drugs, become a terrorist ect or be legal and do delivery/taxi jobs or fish ect) Also to do with the 2 versions the stolen CL Revolution and the origional regually beta updated version ultimate ive noticed some things the stolen one: is now being updated -very good for short term and very fun you earn money relitively fast and its very stable and always has a huge amount of players, -there are many servers which almost all have alot of players on, but, -its a stolen version that ahs been modded without permission or thought about the creators, however, the origional one:has always been updated -has a huge amount more stuff and veriety off things that can be done on it even compared to revolution and is a much more long term option BUT, -it is a beta and not very stable constant disconection for many players makes it hard to keep playing it -it takes a long time to earn money compared to revolution -there is only one server that uses it because it is in beta and it is often relitively deserted as people are often disconected i would heavily recomend trying out the ultimate version all credit to the creators but if your feeling a little adventurous once you have read up on how things work or asked for help ect you should also try the revolution version as it has alot more players but mainly for its stability until the origional comes out of beta as ive said throughout all credit goes to the creators at rp-mods.com

  7. i tryed 2 join a couple of servers and it said bad version,server conection refused, what does this mean also the servers had a red cross next to them instead of a green/amber circle, what do these icons mean? thanks in advanced :-) edit: ok dont matter its cos of the 1.03patch so i dont have same version

    seems a bit harsh i love that map, there are only 3 points to hold anyway so it isnt that much different to having to do them in order, also i think it makes it more interesting to have a 3rd one and it invites more sneaky ways to play, whilst everyone is fighting round 2 other points you sneak round 2 the other and kill whoever is defending it cos the likelyness is there wont be many and they wont be expecting it also if you dont lyk the map then simply dont play it ther are loads of servers with a veriety of maps with lots of people on them , look out for the map you mention is realy good in your post, i expect someone will be playing it at some point

    ok i was just wondering what people were thinking are the best missions youve played on , my thoughts: 1:Love the Bezerk maps they are legends very fun,many thanks to whoever made em 2:Air Cav , very fun if you have alot of people on it 3:MBG_LHDSpawner_Template.utes , good template to have spawning vehicles on the aircraft carrier of your choice what do u guys all think?:cool:

    hmm i have had this game some time now and havnt even tryed the singleplayer missions already on it, i find making my own maps for my own play or against friends very goo, gives alot of replayability to the game, might try the sp missions soon :-)

    aircraft start height

    i put this setpos [getpos this select 0, getpos this select 1, 100]; this flyinheight 100; in the vehicle init line now im trying to get the aircraft to follow my waypoints AND stay at this height, it just nose dives to a lower height (much lower) ---------- Post added at 03:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:41 PM ---------- ok dont worry i 4got 2 put a space this setpos [getpos this select 0, getpos this select 1, 100]; this flyinheight 100; thanks alot guys
  12. im guessing this is a code that needs to go in the init line of my "flying" aircraft, how do i set a specific height it will fly at/start at (want them to start heigher,alot so i can halo jump, thanks

    nuxil:where in the waypoint shall i put this there are loads of places to write stuff and no init line...... Cobra: ive already changes the 100 to what i wanted and it works but the ai just nose dives down to a much lower height as soon as it loads ps thnx for the help so far

    thanks, still have a prob tho, when i load in i start at that height but the cpu pilot brings us back donw to a realy low height (nose dives down to it then levels out) ive got him following way points, is there something i need to do to make him stay at this height?

    in multiplayer using a map i have made, how do i perform a halo jump, does the vehicle have 2 be at a certain height, do i have 2 use scripts/be a certain type of soldier? any help is much apreciated thanks in advanced

    that link you gave gives no matches , ive had a traul through the forums but i still cant get it 2 work at all here is what i got at the mo i put this into the vehicles init thingy this addaction ["HALO","halojump.sqf"];player moveincargo [MV22, 1]; MV22 flyinheight 5500; when im flying (as cargo) firstly the plane is no where near the altitude i set (5500) secondly i click on HELO and it says something along the lines of the script HELO.sqf could not be found, does anyone know how i can get this script and how i can fix these problems thnx in advance

  21. hi im having a problem with all of my user downloaded multiplayer (my made ones run fine but downloaded ones dont...) missions problem: -i download and place them in my documents-mp mission folder -i run game go to multiplauer and go to load the mission -i click play after finding the newly downloaded mission -nothing happens -do it agin -nothing -i go to editor to see if i cna see anything it says "warning this file is read only" -i go to documents and turn off read only then try again -still same error when go to editor and nothing happens if i click play can someone help please, i dont understand what im doing wrong, none of my missions work that i download

    Carrier Domination West AI (LHD As Base :) )

    im having problems using the map download (above) when i go to mp then select the map and press play there is lyk half a second of lag and nothing happens, i go to edit and it says warning file is read only, so i go to the file and un cheak read only thinkin this would solve everything, same things happen still, i cant play the map any sujestions?
  25. add a marker named respawn west (or east ect where u wona respawn) then -go to the folder documents-arma2-MPMissions-(now double click on the mission u created in editor which u want respawns for) -create a description.ext file at this location if there already isnt one already(i coppied it out of documents-arma2-missions folder) -edit your new description.ext file u now have and make it say : respawn = "BASE"; respawnDelay = 5; you can edit these so u respawn with group or have a respawn delay this worked for me and this is exactly what i did so now me and my friends can respawn on multiplayer where i put the respawn marker, there are many much more complicated respan scripts that allow moving respawns(as you complete objectives) and vehicle respawn scripts if you look for them
