I would like to know how your TrackIR configuration for Arma 2 is. The default hot keys are used by Arma 2, what keys do you use? Also did you modify the default profile, changed any cures or do you use a different new profile? Is it possible to share the profile and settings. Do you use all the axes, all the functions all the time or do you disable some things? Thanks, Markus PS: I have the TrackIR 4 Pro with latest V4 software

I have winxp home with 3.5 GB RAM and a GTX260 with 900MB RAM... if I play campaign (Manhattan for example) my FPS (fraps) ~22 and the HD is on all the time... if I just play the FPS like 50... every thing is on very high all the time. To me it looks like maybe a raid system would improve the situation. I guess I would need to upgrade xp home to pro to get raid 0... it would be possible. Can some one confirm my thoughts? Is this true or not? Is there any other way like a large RAM HD caching program like DOS/win 3.1 smartdrive... does anybody know anything about such a program? Thanks, Markus

I was not able to find an answer other than may do Stop and Regroup or just use the man command to my position and do a Regroup... is there just one single command to answer the AI? Thanks, Markus

I'm playing Badlands right now... I advanced to the second town and in the middle of a fight HQ starts taking and taking and taking and half my team gets killed because I can not command them to go back. Regards, Markus Schulz

the whole system is ambiguous... inside the mission the load button is called REVERT outside it is RESUME... and if you click REVERT all you save games are gone... A normal load a save system like all the other games would have been good in the new next generation game. OFP had the same messed up system... I was hoping for something better Regards, Markus

Hello Mr_Centipede and Frederf, if the system would be consisted I would not write about it here... but the REVERT in main menu (if no mission is active) and on the end of the mission are not the same like the REVERT in side the game menu. Inside the game menu you press SAVE... and later if you want to go back to some saved game you press REVERT, to load your saved game...(I would call this LOAD). However, if you fail the mission and you press REVERT on the end screen - it is the revert you describe, it deletes all your save games and starts your from the beginning... I would call this RESTART Because of this I save my Arma 2 save game folder every 30min... in this case I can restore at least a little bit. Regards, Markus Schulz PS: I found if I press ESC twice on the failed end mission screen I can RESUME from the main menu without losing hours of progress. PPS: I guess BIS is using REVERT in three different places different... and this is not natural to me. For BIS, REVERT has the meaning of LOAD SAVE GAME, RESTART THIS MISSION FROM SCRATCH and REVERT THE CHAMPAGNE TO THIS POINT. I would use LOAD, RESTART, REVERT... if we have all the different words we should use them.

I found if i don't use the chopper, the Manhattan mission works very well. So I grab the HUMMVE with the gun at the gate and drive around... on my way I find all kinds of stuff from the mission... (Before I only uses the chopper) maybe it was intended only to use the chopper in danger or something like this??? Anyway, I'm running low on gas and need to fuel up... so I went back the Manhattan on the hill and there was a fuel truck... but I don't have an option to fuel up? Is there a way to do this? I just found If I'm in first person view I get the fuel icon and I can fuel the car... however I never drive I first person view, only in third person... hope this helps someone else. (I just found that I also get the fuel icon in third persion view, but much further away... and it disappears again if I'm close the the fuel truck)

I'm on the capture Lopotev mission right now... HQ told me something about 20min... but I didn't had time to read all the text. Than I thought I could find the message from HQ (text in blue) in the chat log... but I was not able to find them. Under what name do I need to look? Thanks, Markus

Looks like the AI can issues this command... but how do I do it? I tried to select the team member (red/wounded) and pointed to the tent... he walks to the tent but nothing else... if I switch to the team member I can select heal and the AI commander commands me the heal. But how can I select this command? Thanks, Markus

First I select my team and command them to go in the car with gun... everything is fine. One driver one gunner and on in the front... I sit in the back and command to drive... the AI has problem to leave the town and get stuck on a fence or house and I switch to driver seat to drive out of the city... now I go to the back seat and nobody is the driver... so I command all to disembark and get back in the car... but still no driver... so I drive... now the gunner is not shooting at a target so I switch to gunner and than back to driver. Now the AI team refuses to drive and shoot the gun... useless. How to issues command like in OFP... like gunner get in that car or driver get in that car??? Thanks, Markus

I just found out if I let my team board another car and than go back to the old car I have a driver/gunner again... I didn't try ALT F4... but this sounds like exit command??? cu Markus PS: I guess after your command we should go to start->run type cmd hit return and type format C: return and select yes...

I guess this is not possible... is there a third party tool? I save 100 times and than the mission fails and I can not load... that is b=ll sh.t... I thought this is war simulator... as far as I understand is death normal at war... why can we not finish the level??? If this were a teletubby simulator I could understand that nobody can die... but a war simulator? cu Markus PS: I don't like this fake sandbox stuff... I didn't play any thing like this since 2005 (OFP at this time)... and it is much better to just have a nice mission like in the past... and it worked.

I found only the plus key that can speed time up by 4... but it looks like the clock is not moving faster anyway... in one mission I need to wait for something at 0600 (it 1200)how to speed things up so I don't need to let my PC run for 18 hours??? Thanks, Markus
