    I've had my Logitech Attack 3 for years and I'm very happy with it. I guess it all depends on how seriously you take your gaming.

  3. Can anything be done to increase the time interval of the version missmatch warning when going online? I tried to play the other night but the server wasn't updated and the constant "BONG" "BONG" "BONG" "BONG" "BONG" drove me to turn the game off. Surely we only need one warning at the start.
  4. I have the same problem and considering that AI seem to be engaging at much greater distance this is something which really needs to be fixed. Also can anyone help me with a couple of things, how do I use the backpacks? (I hear this all the time online) and why can't engineers fix vehicles? Thanks.
  5. Thatnks ACE team for all the hard work but I have a little problem. I've lost all character voices after installing ACE 2.

    My only criticism is the amount of dust kicked up by bullet strikes. The sparks created when you shoot at something metal and explosions are great but the dust/smoke is way too much.

Files "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_environmental.pbo ", "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_fixedwings.pbo", "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_gear.pbo", "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_guns.pbo", "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_impact.pbo", "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_environmental.pbo ", ... are not signed by a key accepted by this server. To play on this server, remove listed files or install additional accepted keys. Thanks

  10. Done that but still no joy. I can now get the intro to play but when the camera is destroyed the mission doesn't start, I'm just left with a rear view of the player in the intro. I thought the Init.sqf told the game in what order to run/initiate things so I changed mine to look like this, execVM "briefing.sqs"; execVM "intro.sqs"; execVM "mission.sqm"; It's really frustrating now because everything is there exept the transition from intro to mission.     Yes, not too much if you know about these things but I don't, that's why I'm looking for an answer. I made a map which worked fine, now when I try to open it ArmA crashes and I don't know what's gone wrong or how to fix it.
  12. Hi, I'm making a small MP mission and I've set a trigger activated by BLUFOR right at the start. What I'm trying to do is use the effect "black fade in", it works but it happens so quickly. You scripting guys are probably looking at this and thinking "WTF has he done there?". Sorry but I know nothing about scripts so I've stolen a bit from here and a bit from there and ended with this. TIA ps Does anyone know what's up with the sound, I'm using Fraps and the audio is crap.
  14. Thanks for the help Guys. I'm getting there slowly but my problem is that the Intro will not run after everything is saved, I just go straight into the mission. So I delete "me" and save it to single player missions but when I try to run it I first get a message saying "no character selected", click OK then the Briefing, then the mission starts. No Intro. To be honest this is getting a little ridiculous now, I've been on this for 2 days and I'm sure I'll get a DVT because I've been sitting here for so long. [note to self] It's only a game, get on with your life you sad F***er.
  15. Sorry JDog but "take note" doesn't really mean anything to me, what's wrong with the camera name and camDestroy? I took those from Mr Murrays manual.

  17. Hmm, I had a chopper with a MOVE waypoint in my intro. When I tried to play the mission guess what? the mission started, no intro. Where are we supposed to put this? I've been hunting around this forum for 3 days now trying to find a simple tutorial or information on how to make an intro scene and all I can find is comments from people who fail to appreciate that not everyone knows scripting like the back of their hands. And before anyone says "use the search function" I already have and gave up after reading about 13 pages of posts. No wonder the OP didn't come back, he's probably done what I'm about to do, just give up.

    It's a community of twats and prima donnas with the odd decent gamer thrown in here and there. I've had this game for about three weeks now and I think it has great potential, hell I even spent £400 to upgrade my system for it and I'd love to play with like-minded people who enjoy playing as part of a team.     Camera.sqs BASICS

    Sorry guys but another total noob here looking for some help. I have this in my camera.sqs _cam = "camera" camCreate (position camviewer) _cam cameraEffect ["Internal", "Back"] _cam camSetTarget camtarget1 _cam camCommit 0 ~10 cameraEffect ["Terminate", "Back"] camDestroy _cam What I'm trying to do is create a win outro scene with a camera on the ground that follows a chopper as it fly's by. My chopper is named "target1" and I've placed a trigger called "camviewer" nearby with camviewer exec "camera.sqs" in the init line. So I can test things in the editor I had to place another soldier (me) but all I get is a rear view of my character. How do I get the script to run? Any help for an old gamer greatly appreciated. (well not that old but no spring chicken)
  21. After a recent hardware upgrade (see my sig) my problem has been things vanishing but increasing the memory setting to very high seems to have fixed it.
  22. Hi folks, Admittedly my system is a little old but it still meets the minimum requirements for the game.   24. Changing the apeture to 512 seems to have worked but I think an upgrade is in order. Can anyone tell me what the best AGP card is? I know AGP is outdated but I'm not buying a whole new PC just to get better graphics. Thanks.
