Im more of an MP player so not really interested in the single player campaigns. Besides I guess I could just D/L player made missions?

Hi all Sorry if this has been posted before but i couldnt see anything using search. I have the orginal Arma 2. Im looking to buy Arma 2: Reinforcements and bypass OA as I assume Reinforements has everything from OA except missions/campaigns. Is Arma 2 + Reinforcements compatible with ACE? Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I dont think its a ping issue as I have joined servers with pings as low as 60 with the same problems mentioned above. I think it may be my ISP as dowloading 'retrieving' a mission can take upwards of 10 mins during peak times but when i play in the morning it is about 1 min. Must I download a mission from the server or do most servers provide mission packs that can be d/l from a web site somewhere? Any ides to boost my connection as it only seems to be Arma 2 that is affected. All my other MP games are stable under mutiplayer. Thanks

Hi again I have managed to get ACE 2 to work however i gave up on the six installer. It just kept timing out whenever trying to download an update and a lot of the content was missing after multiple times trying to update and install. So my questions are, Will the manual way of installing affect my MP experience at all? Any general tweaks to get my MP better? It takes a looong time connecting to servers i.e "retrieving mission files" and when i do connect i am getting reallt laggy gameplay with the yellow (or red) broken chain icon on the bottom right of my screen. Any help would be great guys! Cheers

Hi all I wonder if someone can help. I'm having a little trouble connecting to MP games. When I try to connect to a server i have to download the mission from the server. i.e "retrieving" However this takes a very long time. When I everntually connect I have a red (or yellow) broken chain and the bottom right of my screen and everything is laggy. Sometimes I dont even get to that stage and i am "waiting for the host" until i eventually get bored and quit. MP is just not working for me at all. I have the latest hardware and it runs smoothly in SP at very high settings. Help would be appreciated. Thanks

HI all Im having trouble installing ACE2. I have let siz-installer do its updates but when i try and run the game through the installer it says "include file x\ace\addons\main\script_mod.hpp not found" Can anyone help?

Hi All I have to say this game is a brilliant single player game however im having serious multiplayer issues. Most of the time I cant seem to connect to a multiplayer game. I have issues with the amount of time recieving mission data despite having a decent enough connection (500kb/s download speed normally). On the rare occations when I do get as far as getting into the server proper as soon as I spawn I seem to fall through the map and eventually die when I hit water?!?!?! As soon as I respawn I just see blue on my screen... I was wondering if anyone else knows a fix or a way around this? Thanks all
