  1. Too bad, I was happy to see that in the 1.08 patch change log. I guess it's back to installing ATT.
  2. I don't see the option in game. I don't have OA, just vanilla ArmA2. I have an ATI card just in case (HD 5870 with 10.12 drivers). Thanks for the quick reply.
  3. I just installed vanilla ArmA 2 (after being away from it for months) and updated it to patch, 1.08. I read that now you can disable vsync by entering vsync=0 in the ArmA2.cfg file. I did but it's not working. I tried it with the cfg file with and without the read only attribute but it didn't work either way. Anything I'm missing here? I searched everywhere but couldn't find an answer to this. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

    Arma 2 1.06 Patch Suggestions

Please add an option to disable vsync. I don't like having to install ATI Tray Tools just for this game.

Plus keep in mind that u shouldn't bind turn left and right to the twist. It should be Pedal left and right.

Get more RAM +2G Put this monster on your CPU: http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cpu/040/scmg2000_detail.html http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_page/product_page/cpu/u120ex/product_cpu_cooler_u120ex-intel_bp.html And OC it to 3.2Ghz 3.6Ghz... you will get over 4000 points. Your gameplay will be always mostly smooth even with resolution 1920 x 1200, depending on your settings. Fixed ;) - The TRUE is a lot smaller, easier to install and still performs slightly better. - I use to run my E8400 C0 at 4.1Ghz. Taking it to 3.6GHz shouldn't be too hard, especially with a great cooler like the TRUE, so go for it. - As the game is now, even with i7 over 4GHz and GTX 295 Quad SLI, depending on the settings, fps can take serious plunges in ArmA 2.

So, u really think that having more than one drive connected is a risk? You do know that the reason motherboard have multiple SATA portss is to connect multiple HDDs (hard drive disks). So don't worry about it, having multiple drives connected is perfectly fine. I have 5 hard drives connected in my rig. Two of them have OSs. One has Vista and one Windows 7. Whenever I want to switch OSs I simply go into my BIOS and switch the drive I wanna boot from. It's simple and safe. No need to worry. ;)

Why don't you just set which drive to boot from in the BIOS so you don't have to connect and disconnect drives every time you want to switch OS?

    Mapfact.net releases ReducedVoices addon

Yes, of course. I simply confused MAP with MOD in that example.

    Mapfact.net releases ReducedVoices addon

You take the folder called @MAP from inside the extracted folder called MAP_ReducedVoices_V1.01 and copy it (just the @MAP folder) to ArmA 2's installation folder (Program files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2). Then to "activate" the mod, you use the parameter -mod=@MAP in the ArmA2 shortcut. To add the parameter you right click the short cut, go to properties and add it next to the address in the target field, so it should look like this: "Program files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -mod=@MAP

Improved score with regular gameplay settings: 4311.13 My mobo is an Asus P5Q Deluxe with 1702 mBios. That is Ket's moded bios ver. 1702. You can find out more about Ket's mBios here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=200109 For my BIOS settings, check out this vid and pic I took for someone in another forum: vid of main OCing settings: pic of CPU settings: http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g302/Makubex_GB/688efcf1.jpg PS. My Q9650's VID is 1.25v Also, due to vdroop, my actual CPU voltage is 1.33v.

The CPU is probably bottlenecking it. This game is CPU heavy. Try overclocking it to see how much you gain. Your CPU should do 4GHz or close pretty easy. It's not that it's i7, is that it's a 45nm Quad OCed to 3.6GHz. My Q9650 is not i7, but it's a 45nm Quad OCed to 4.2GHz, and like I said ArmA 2 is CPU heavy. So if I use settings similar to choC's (3D resolution is actually even a little higher): So get clocking. OCing your E8400 should help.

Test done with my regular play settings (shown below). Score: 3627.2 *Sigh* I wish this game would make better, more efficient, use of hardware. :icon_sad: PC Specs: CPU: Q9650 @ 4.2GHz GPU: 4870X2 @ 817/950 w/ WHQL 9.7 drivers Mem: 4GB G.Skill PI PC2-8500 Sound: X-Fi w/ X-RAM Mobo: Asus P5Q Deluxe PSU: Ultra X3 1KW OS: Win 7 64bit
  14. Try force disabling vsync.
