How can I disable it? if I move my mouse slowly it turns faster, and if I move it quicky it only moves a short distance.. I have turned dead zone to lowest and mouse smootheing off but the problem is still there.. I cant find any config options to disable mouse acceleration either.. help!

How can I select the nationality of the soldiers and load out in the "My missions wizard" that creates randomly generated scenarios? At the moment I am always inserted as Dutch and Germans (I think?). Yep I did that dwarden, but the game was not as smooth with Tri-SLI, its ok I have turned up the mouse speed and adjusted to it now.

I turned the mouse speed up much faster than I would normally use it and it seems to have helped. Poor design decision imo otherwise detracting from an excellent game.

There may be a turn limit, but that doesnt explain why turning slowly makes it turn more distance.. If I turn fast, it should reach the turning limit and at least move the same distance as turning slowly... This is really awful, making the game almost unplayable.

Fresh install of ArmA2 & reinforcements, I have looked in various threads but no luck. Running steam as admin doesnt help, I dont see any registry entries or anything else. w..t..f.. is this. :mad: :(:

Thanks Dwarden, that didnt seem to help, but I managed to get everything installed and working anyway lol, I dont know how.. the patch installers were going crazy telling me I had the wrong keys or didnt have RFT or OA installed but they installed anyway (wtf?).. anyway everything is installed and working along with the beta patch, SMAA looks good and everything is running great, thanks for your help. :)

Cheers guys got it all working, havent played any ArmA in over a year.. looks great with SMAA + 150% res :)

Do I need to add these SMAA options to the config or should it already be in there? I installed the beta patch of course but I dont see the SMAA readme in expansions\beta as described in OP..

Those instructions are exactly what I did several times, and each time after the final installation of the DLC I could not install the 1.60 patch, nor could I run the game, both giving me the wrong key error. I see on your forums many other people have had the same issue. And of course it is a legit build, I have A2, OA and RFT all legit, you think I would ask for help from you with a ripped copy??

I have retail OA and RFT, and A2 is on steam. Yes I tried to only install the DLC but same issue. I also tried again without OA and only RFT on top of A2, same issue again. Thats fine, I can play MP through OA or vanilla A2. I bought ArmA2 at release on steam. RFT on disk at release, you told me on rage3d I could merge them and I did, and it worked fine. I have built a new PC and now they wont merge. I also have OA on disk from release. A2 and OA merge fine and I can play them, its only when trying to add the PMC & BAF DLC I get the error of wrong key.

Hey dwarden I actually posted over at rage3d in more detail if it helps, and thanks for the quick reply. Yes A2 in Steam, then RFT from disk. I tried to update the game with 1.60 but it says wrong CD key during installation. Am I meant to apply 1.60 patch to A2 or RFT? I only tried to run it after installing RFT.

Hi all I'm trying to use the GTD HDR mod but I dont really know how to install and run it. It says I need exception handlers or something and when I tried to install CBA I failed as it kept asking for Alice2 mod or soemthing.. Well I have both but installed seperately, one was bought on steam and the other is retail, so I'd like to do each but mainly arma2 vanilla.

For the love of god let us add our retail copy of ARMA2 to our Steam accounts so we dont have to use the CD.... You can do this with almost every single other title on Steam, surely it cant be that hard to use the retail CD-Key on our Steam account... /rant over

Great game! however performance is terrible.. and online play is pathetic.. constant lag and people warping around etc etc

So a few friends and I cant play the coop campaign... First of all we have all bought the game.. When I join the coop campaign server I am stuck and cannot move.. cannot change weapons etc.. another friend turns into a crow wtf (and I know this is part of FADE but we have legit copies...) And also everyone is lagging and warping all over the place, how can we fix this?? We paid money and cannot even play coop as advertised.. not happy.

It says in the controls list that I can set a key to hold breath (to make it easier when scoped I assume) but it seems to do nothing.. I have tried many different keys but my scope sways all over the place and I dont hear any "holding breath" noises, what gives?

I find that ATi Tray Tools does work in forcing vsync off if you make a profile, however only if the fill rate is set the same as the resolution.. I find I have to go into the main menu of game, reset fill rate back to the same as resolution then exit game.. then restart the game via ATT profile, vsync will now be off and can raise the fill rate back to 150% etc and vsync will stay off.. So every time I exit the game I need to set fill rate to match resolution, then after I start the game set the fill rate back to the desired resolution and vsync will stay off.

I have bought a legit copy of the game and was wondering if it is possible to use a no-cd patch on the game for online play, hate having to dig it out everytime I start the game.. thanks
