For me, being a new player in the arma series, i use to take the m136 because is smaller, and if i want to snear around, i'm less visible. Other than that, m136 is a worse weapon. I guess if they implement the weight system, it could come to sense.

This thing about mouse lag is not about this game only. I've seen it plenty of times in other games and it's all about lack of power from your computer (for whatever reason, i'm not saying that arma2 isn't well optimized). So, the lower is your fps, the more lag you have.

This one, at least, works for me. I suffered constants bsod because of the nv4_disp.dll. I tweaked a few settings on bios about cpu (disabling vanderpool, no intel speedstep...) and the bsod needed more time, but it happened after some time. And the, checking my entire bios settings, i found that i had the: PCI memory remapping" enabled. I quickly disable it, and i could spend an entire day playing online without a BSOD at all (i suffered a few CTD... but nothing serious). I have an Asus P5K, Intel E8500 oc to 3.8 (fsb raised to 400), 4 gb ram ddr2-800 kingston, Nvidia GTX260, windows xp with latest driver from nvidia (190.38 i think). I'm playing at 1680x1050, memory at default, textures normal, AA to high, FSAA to high, shadows ultra-high, no post-processing, view distance to 4000, everything else set to normal. Gameplay is ok. (worse when there is grass around, perfect without it). Hope it helps.

Hi guys. I plan to fill a bug with all the necessary information, but before this, i wanted to post about what i see in the .rpt file (the log). The reason for my crash to desktops, on the demo and the retail game, is this one: Exception code: C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 00666800 graphics: D3D9, Device: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+, Driver:nv4_disp.dll 6.14.11.8618 I can have a CTD, or a blue screen of death with the file nv4_disp.dll being the reason of the bsod. I have an Asus P5K, Intel e8500 (OC to 3.8 Ghz, just rising bus clock to 400Mhz, working fine with all the games, except arma 2), 4 Gb ram kingsto ddr2-800, and windows xp. My card is an Asus gforce 9800gtx+ 512Mb. I've tried with the driver 185.xx (the latest of 185 series) and the latest 186.16, same problem (and, btw, with the 186 driver i get better fps). So i hope this help in any way. Now, i'm going to reinstall windows from scratch and see how it goes...

ACCESS_VIOLATION nv4_disp.dll on CTD

Thanks for your replies, i appreciate it ;-) I've tried the latest 185.xx driver, the 186.16 and the 186.18. Also, i've reinstalled windows from scratch. It keeps doing the same. I've sold my 9800gtx+ and a xfx gtx 260 896 Mb is on the way, so let's see how it does ;-) I'll post my results here for the help to the others. Thanks ;-)
