    You won't see the trace without magnification optics unless it is rather humid. The spotter should be able to see the trace through a spotting scope everytime though, as that is how he adjusts the rounds onto target (Except at night). So unless it is possible to make an effect only visible through optics, and only at a certain angle, its gonna be pretty unrealistic, not to mention it will give away your position just like if you were firing tracer rounds.

    Warfx has always worked fine for me with ACE, but i agree, modders should'nt go out of there way to make their mods compatible with ACE.
  7. I'm pretty sure this has already been addressed in this or another topic. The reason it's not used is there would have to be a ridiculous amount of weapon models because you would need one for every combination of various attachments.

I agree that the soldiers don't have a lot of gear, but not a lot of units wear all that extra armor in Afghanistan, its too much weight and hinders movement, making it difficult to operate in such mountainous terrain. Perhaps they just need some more pouches. Most of the units don't even have enough ammo pouches for a combat load (210 rnds for riflemen) at least 7 magazines.
  12. soldier and marine arguments aside, 7Cav is right, most of the soldiers in that video are SF circa like 2004 or 2005, with some random regular army guy cutting in pictures from his deployment. Acoustic, the soldiers in OA (aside from the delta guys) represent regular army guys, mechanized and stryker infantry to be exact. Their uniforms and gear are pretty much correct as far as what is worn and used today, aside from the SCARs.

  16. on another note, bink the units look great and i love the 2008 infantry you released. take your time on these, i cant wait until theyre released. really like the guy with the PCU on, are you gonna make just specific units wearing them or are you going to make versions of every unit with and without it?
  17. Like USRanger709 said, the first pic is an SF operator, he has a Ranger Skill Tab, not the 75th regimental unit patch, signifying that he has completed ranger school. The patch he is wearing is the SF unit patch, which is an airborne unit, hence the airborne tab. Not trying to talk down to anyone, just trying to inform those who dont know.

    kinda feel awkward jumping into the conversation like this but suhsjake is right about the 113 and his sources, if im not mistaken are from being in the army, and i can back him up with that claim because i myself am an infantryman in the army. Now back on topic, Bink love the acu units, also glad to have an actual 240b(thanks vilas) I was getting tired of using the 240g.
