I would use the -server if they actually fixed stuff correctly. Look at your server.rpt with no mods running. Since OFP the server.exe has been free. Therefore the expectation that a server version free of charge has been set as a standard. The multplayer use of this game is what makes it what it is. Without it..it sucks..Plain and simple. The modders who really make this game shine have been aptiently waiting for the tools necessary to mod this game correctly. These are all things that have been set as the standard for this game. If Bohemia no longer wants to support the Arma 2 community in this fashion, then they need to say so. Alot of people including myself have spent thousands on dedicated servers for the multiplayer experience. By not appeasing this part of the community satisfactorilyand putting out abismal patches should not be tolerated. It hurts all of us tryig to get more people to buy the game. I have personally bought this game for people as a gift. Now what do you think they are saying?

You do not have a problem Bohemia does. There are few if any 1.03 servers running. The reason is the stuff they said they fixed...isn't There is update was not thouroughly tested (obvious) if it was, it was done poorly. I personally have alot of money involved in dedicated servers for Arma 2. I would like a non political accurate response from Bohemia as to why it is so difficult to put out a workable no scratch that use the word useful patch? I mean fixing a rainbow bug...come on. I need MP to actually work..not some rainbow. Help us all out Boehmia and fix this POS before OFP2 comes out. Or you know where everyone is headed. If it takes some time to get right..then take it. Like I was taught from childhood.. If your going to do something..do it righ the first time.

There have been individuals i know with a Single GPU card that have done the rename thing and it works for them too. I do not know why or how it works..it just does.

As noob or dumb as this sounds...I changed the name of my Arma2.exe to Crysis.exe...all works very well now on high settings with view disatnce set to 4000. post processing disabled. I am better at it then you.:rolleyes: Oh I'm sorry you have a couple of people in here that agree with you. The majority of people who do download and use mods could care less who did what. You as a modder (and those that agree with you) are not Gods. All it does is keep people from wanting to do things for the community. If you want to mod then mod, get out of the policing business, you do not have the intelligence for it. What you fail to see is that if you keep trying to control what is released, then the appearance is that you want a foothold on all mods you are working on. Consider the revolution started. Defunkt, The answer to your question is YES. It is up to the developer of said mod to prove that it is their mod if they feel it has been stolen. It is not your job to tell everyone to prove that it is theirs. There is a thing called a law suit. You can use a law suit if someone steals your stuff without permission. DO NOT TRY to act like the ARMA Gods. To make the point even more simply, WIP stands for work in progress. SO this isn't even released yet and individuals feel it is there job to police everything. If you are so upset with people stealing mods blah, blah, blah...go to court, then things won't have to be so retarded as it is here. No one except the developer of the mod knows if something is stolen or not. So back off. STOP THE INSANITY

Like I said what evidence what proof of past models? I do not know Sarmat, just happy someone is putting stuff out there. Was it jsut accusations from before too? Leave the guy alone. Work on your own stuff Rock. Do not worry what everyoen else is doing. I will be checking on your models too, since you said they are 100% scratch from you. I am no fool and know how hard it is to make a model from scratch and then make it work in ARMA they way you want. Even porting stuff over gets tricky. Rock even your question is accusatory in itself "have you got proper permissions this time?" Read it out loud to yourself and tell me you still think that doesn't sound like an accusation in the form of a question.

Thsi whole thread got out of hand as soon as the accusations started showing up. For me just having someone take the time to bring these models into Arma is worth it for my enjoyment. No one is profiting here. So leave the guy alone, and let him port his stuff over, unless you have absolute proof that these are stolen. Whether or not he gives credit is up to him and his conscience.

Rock go ahead and find a Freeware/Shareware mod maker for FSX that explicetely states you are not allowed to use this, and i will find hundreds that give the permission to do with what you want on the download page. My impression is that accusations were flung from the very first reply. The guy just put some pics in for a WIP. I do play FSX alot and do have hundreds of freeware/shareware models. These models are free to do what u want with except profit off of them. Last time I checked no one was selling a mod for ARMA or ARMA2. I'm just saying that anyone can make an accusation; hell look at the list of projects on RKSL studios webiste. Are they all original? Are they making each model from scratch, I tend to doubt it. Anyway this thread was started as a WIP..let the guy make his stuff for ARMA2 and unless you have proof that this is stolen , quit complaining. Just because this guy is making something on someone elses to do list, does not prevent the person from going ahead and doing with whatever tools are avaialble
