Decent this game is and i am looking forward to the day i can finally play the ArmA series and enjoy it instead of watching my FPS counter every three seconds

After buying ArmA 2 and realizing my computer cant play it, i decided to play ArmA. When i first bought ArmA as i always did i go to the editor to play around and i got around 50 - 70 FPS, then i put it through a big stress test (Massive amounts of AI and tanks all bundled into one battle) i got around 30 FPS and thats not bad but when i decided to play some of BI's missions including the campaign i can only seem to get 19 FPS!? why!?!?!?! there doesn't seem to be more than a handful of AI involved in the first mission yet i cant play it! only 19 FPS! i dont get it, and then i turned the graphics down to crap and still only got about 25 FPS.....is there something wrong with single player? help explain this plz! :( System Specs Listed Below

no offence taken about my computer but man i just upgraded this thing :eek: do you think SLI would help? two GTS 450s? but i would like someone to answer this. why is arma so laggy in the campaign, is it cuzz it has scripts to load and specific stuff to calculate? thanks for the help

well lets trouble shoot here, do you have this same issue with other scoped weapons? ACOG scopes? i don't have any big suggestions but i would like to see a pop out menu for customizing a player or NPC's weapons.....like do you want a ACOG scope, red-dot, grenade launcher, silencer or grip......something like that or even if it was just to select their weapon because that was a pain for me in arma 2
