I'll try your updated version at work. Won't be fade I have the steam version, (and thus legit) The weapon i use is DMR. Testing last night same scenario Badlands starting from novi sobor attack side with Napa. Weapon: DMR Range: 600 metres Target: Machine gunner on technical. No mods - 2 shots to take down (would be chest or arm section) SLX - 7 shots in the chest area (some might be arm) Also no reaction by the AI for those entire 7 shots the driver didn't even move. Will test again at lunch with latest slx also

Heya guys, I've been testing this addon with badlands start assault on Novi sobor. Something I'm trying to understand is the hitpoints enemy players have. Situation: 600 metres away in treeline at start, sniping with DMR (effective range of 800 yeah?) anyways, why if I put 7 rounds into a dude doesn't he go down? Many times they would be headshots in that the blood would spurt around the head area. Is the hitpoints system scaling them back due to range? Even with high caliber weapons like sniper rifles? Or is this intentional they every ai has a billion hitpoints?

test Anyways badlands assault on novi sobor Notes: * AI is quite bad at finding me as I sniped them from afar, not one shot on me at 600 metres away. * EDIT: 2nd(and 3rd) time playing through they nailed me while i was sniping them * AI eventually all went into hiding i was unable to find a target after time * When I moved in closer AI still missed me at 400+ range lots of bullets wizzing around my head. * My team was near wiped out on the 1st assault. * My AI moved VERY slowly in stealth mode, they moved at a much better speed at aware. * My AI actually captured a strong-point when i pointed them to it (1st time that's ever happened to me on badlands) * My AI Jumped out of a vehicle just before it was going to blow up, and then dragged one of the wounded to safey and healed him! (razor team) * Some very annoying sound bugs with bad popping and strange sounds after someone fired (sounded like bad static) * the binoculars worked, took me a bit to work out needed to alt-look around the binoculars to get what you meant. * Had some crazy lockups for over 3-4 seconds rarely but they happened

Hi guys, The server i play on runs at 3k distance, Mods: FPSHelper, and that's about it So drawdist, 3k, anti-alias, disabled, normal on everything else cept post process disabled. Currently I get 20-24 fps, I feel that's a bit low for my machine. Or is that right? Here's the specs. I'm not very confident on OCing my pc, it has work stuff on it i wouldn't want to jeopardize with me noobing it up with the wrong voltage etc and blowing it up -
Actually its not really hacking, as the ai is hacking you as they still see you in the grass once your spoted no matter what, where as you can't see them.

I agree patience is a virtue and most people here will wait for patches. But if Op flash comes out of the gate in much better form with a decent set of tools to do most of what you can in arma, people will start to forget to play it and down go the numbers. (not that the dev cares as you already paid! :P)

My main issue is with teleporting AI when playing co-op multiplayer. They move along and then teleport forward. (I was viewing him at 1kish distance through m107) Why do they do this? One example was a guy crawling along and I'm aim in front and the bullet would hit the dirt as a miss and then he would teleport onto that position! Is there some server commands or setup to help reduce it? Is it just an ai optimisation so when they are far away they are cheap? Can this be fixed? Mils

I'm new to arma with this series and this dude has it, if you go to say the wow website the community managers there are very professional and they have to deal with a significant amount of rubbish every day. they also provide a LOT of details (patch notes etc) which really helps calm people while they wait as they get to see what's happening.. anyways would be nice to have more specifics going on, now that error might be a lack in them actually telling you what's changing and if that's the case that should be fixed at your level, else in the future, I would appreciate more information please.

what i did is moved team 2 to the east along the tree line, team west (anti armor) along the tree line but back a fair so not seen, then swap weaponsfe with #2 on your team. go to a vehicle and use gear, drop your weapons, then point at the vehicle and say gear #2 (7 button i believe could be 6 sorry) and then swap your weapons. With a sniper rifle i can do a lot of damage, keeping razor team well back as the retards always get killed. then when the vehicles turn up get team 3 to advance under danger command to the small bit of cover across the field in the west section of the field. (if looking at the town its to the right) sorry is my east/west is wrong. anyways with that i then moved team 2 onto the east checkpoint and moved into town, only lost 2 guys, and team 4 came last. that's what worked for me, note i played on normal difficulty with everything turned off to make it vet CEPT unlimited saves, with how brutal the ai is, i just went nuts without unlimited saved from manhatten onwards :)

Does the grass effect the AI, is my game fudged or am i insane?

depending on how they place grass, (I would assume a area is laid in the mesh, which generates the grass) that would know the height of the grass, then just lower the players target height by that amount, (in essence sinking the player below the mesh LOS wise) which when standing is still above the los of the ground, but when laying down your below. not glamorous but would probably work with the existing tech. -
m107, anything else other than ammo is just getting in the way :) even getting better at ranging targets on the fly and calcn mils adjustments

out of curiousity why would you go over your res? 150%? why not just 100%? -
I did exactly what this dude did in badlands, and I have the same problem in dogs.
