This may have been brought up earlier, but it bears repeating. Obviously why ArmA isn't more popular, is because there is no instant gratification to be had for the button mashing masses. ArmA's a complex frigid wife, as opposed to a 'pay-per-puss' prostitute. Or at least that analogy would best describe how a casual gamer would see it, and they are the majority.

Hi I just want to say the Phenom II X4 965 is a great processor, and I've heard good things about the EVO mobo lots of room for expansion.

I love the sabertoothX58, it's a great board I've had my ram clocked up to 2000Mhz. Kind of lackluster on the features though, only a couple of SATA3, and USB3.0 ports each. But the price makes up for that, I highly recommend it

If you only have 4Gb of ram and don't plan on getting more 32bit will work, I highly recommend the 64bit though, just for the sake of future proofing.

Hi I can make a direct comparison between the PII 1090T and the I7 930. First off, the 1090T will get the job done but... I'm getting a little more out of this intel (possibly due to the triple channel ram) The 1090T is a good chip though, but the I7930 is better. Just my personal observation.

I have the EVGA reference model, I see you have an ASUS. Is it also the reference model? I could bring down my temps with the stock heat sink by increasing the fans rpm but the noise was quite unacceptable.

Really? I had major heat issues with my 480, even in the Antek 1200 which is a wind tunnel. I had to resort to an aftermarket cooler, the "Gelid icy vision" which fixed it proper from 100c+ to 60c. Hopefuly since the release of the GTX580, the GTX480's will take a penny dump and I can double these baby's up Yay&Hooray!

Another little quark in this same vein. All aircraft and choppers I have used have misaligned cross hairs the ordinance doesn't go where it's supposed to. Is this a specific or general bug?

It's not ideal, But it would run ARMAII you'd prolly need to turn view distance all the way down though, and lowball the Antialiasing to achieve playable frame rates. Only speculation on my part

Can't comment on how it would run OA, but I would venture to say that its a better than average rig you got there.

Win7x64, P II x6 1090T, 6G's 'o' RAM, HD5850, no problems. Your issues must reside elsewhere, I'm thinking drivers, chipset, or other.
