Hello all, If i install add ons on my machine, will those add ons prevent me from joining a server that doesnt support them?

geting a bug where my weapons get stuck when i try to change from primary to secondary weapon etc, the switch up gets messed up. Also the sometimes i get stuck to gear box, and unless i switch my weapon i cant move anywhere.

I just got the game tonight. I finally broke down and got it of steam. Once i got into a game, we were doing a coop mission with about 20 guys. Great team work all around. This is my first try with the sim shooters, and i love the realistic feel and just over all tactical play. Now i see what all this talk is about. :) It was just cool to see everybody working together as a unit, and executing orders. I swore for a minute i felt like i was in the war, i was so into it.

yah i called eb today and they could not find it in their system. :(

Yah i was going to get it of steam, but after reading that comment i was really put off. Not going to do it.

this really sux, not really how you want to launch a new product. :(

Can sombody confrim if EB or Gamestop have arma2? I was going to pick this up today. :confused: I could get it of steam, but i have some older games i was going to trade in and get some kredit to go for this game.

The good thing about a2 is that it gives options to use. If somebody prefers 3rd view its not my place to say you play the game wrong way. If its more fun, more power to them. After all guys this is a game, and lot of things are done to make it fun for example, in a2 you can get in a chopper and be airborne within 5 sec. Can you do that in real life? I don’t think so. But that’s fine, its good the way things are in a2, its got good balance between being realistic and still maintain that fun factor. Would anybody want to fly choppers if you had to get in the chopper and go through 45 steps checking that all your systems are working, making sure everything is in place every time you want to fly? For me it would be boring. I want to get in. get the bird airborne and focus on mission and tactics.

You got to get in the game and start learning dont be affraid to make mistakes, use comon sense. Reading that dsx guide is a good start. I am new to the a2, but what helped me is playing lot of coop with people. So go a head and just jump in and start playing. Get with some people that like to play and you will be surprise how fast you learn.

Hello all, Just curious how the servers are on the full game? I am still playing the demo, but i noticed most of the servers that are running suffer from lag. The only ones i can play are coop and even on those its a mixed bag. I like the game, and love the realistic approach, it just takes me out of the game when bad guys are jumping all over the place, or bullets are not registering.

I assume that we can not sight m16 in the game, right? I would imagine that devs have given it properties to be dead on accurate at or below 400 meters, after that bullet starts to drop. I feel that bullets drop even before that range in the game, that's why i assumed it had to do to lag or maybe the weapon is not sighted properly by devs. Also forgive me if there is a option to sighted the m16 let me know, i am new to the game. :)

it would be nice if somebody could create a nice long distance range to practice shoting with with rifle. The one in the training mission deals with short range, but what about medium to long range. I want to be able connect with the target at around 400 meters consistently with m16, but i find that is not the case in the game. Maybe due to lag?
