If that helps:
I downloaded UNS thrice from Armaholic (always the 'fixed' version) and twice from torrent and it always failed at the CRC check.
After a 4th try on Armaholic it suddenly worked.
OS: Win 7 64

AFIAK, the 'naked' body model completely replaces the 'uniformed' model and vice versa.
Your approach would still work though. You just need to model a pant 'uniform' with naked upper body.

On thing, maybe a bug report or a feature request:
The MG of the M48A3's commander cupola can only be operated if turned out.
While I don't know if this is realitic or not, I'd humbly ask for one of two options (if you ever patch Unsung for A2 again, that is):
-Either make the MG useable when turned in too, or
-remove the MG completely and replace it with a periscope only.
The reason for the request is, that now you can not move the view vertically when turned in because of the well known engine limitation.
This renders the commander a bit useless unless you are on an extremely large bit of flat ground.
Anyway, no biggy.
Enjoying UNS a lot so far and am looking forward to see it again in A3 :)

Oh, and maybe you could put the backpack proxy on the soldier models without modelled backpacks, at least.

Very nice teaser-release Topas.
I especially love the look of the included trucks - great textures.
But the Germans and Poles look great too.
I also like the selection of unique weapons that helps W39 to stand out from other WW2-themed mods.
Keep it up, and if you are ever stuck with a config/scripting issue, just PM me.

Greece 1941 would be nice for a change.
But since this would probably be too much work, I guess Italy 1943-45 would be an other good choice.
But hey, in the end, I will love & play whatever the I44 team comes up with :)

yup, that's it.
ENERGA rifle grenade on G3 barrel in this case.
This works perfectly in ArmA 2 - something has changed in A3.

Try setting up a hide animation, like how you do it with the magazine when you are reloading. But its set to a variable that detects if the weapon is loaded.if loaded set the selection of the grenade to visible
if not, set it to invisible
Good idea... but is there an animation source for the 2nd muzzle only?

Have any of you experts tried getting rifle grenades into ArmA 3?
I ported a G3 assault rifle with rifle grenades, and while the weapon works flawlessly, the rifle grenade does not show up when it's loaded (I can switch to it normally, it fires as it is supposed to,...)
It seems to me that 'modelSpecial' does not work for rifle magazines anymore, only for launchers (this used to work in ArmA 2).
Strange enough, the view axis stored in the modelSpecial's memory LOD isused - just the correct view LOD doesn't show up (?).
Any ideas?

I'd prefer a small, polished and bugfree P'85 pack, just enough to get started.
Like: a tank, an apc, a truck, a rifleman and a handfull of weapons for 2 opposing sides.

not much in editing ATM, and I usually work with 1.0 (or more) version of mods.as long as HIP is not 1.0, I don't think I'll work on it.
however, I think when 1.0 is released and if we have a complete classlist.txt file with it, I may work on making SP missions
Well, that's your choice of course, but a bit ridiculous. HIP is definitly more '1.0' than many mods out there.
You definitly can't judge the state of any mod by it's version number.
And the classlists are pretty much complete too.

Yeah, that's what I occasionally got too.
Maybe also upload a pure archive (i.e. none-installer) version?
