    Hell in the Pacific MOD

I'd rather team up with I44 on the OA platform or maybe later ArmA3, but this - as my previous statement - is just my personal opinion. Cheers, D.

    Hell in the Pacific MOD

There is no reason whatsoever for porting any mod to Iron Front. It uses the same engine as OA, and in fact most of the time an older one, because it takes a while time to implement the engine updates. Cheers, D.

    DIH 1970s Generic African Units

Project '85 has gone a long way since my addon was released and the two packs are no longer compatible. I guess I should remove the download link for now. But I am working hard on the new stand alone version of the pack. Maybe I should release it as is as a beta. It's all working and looking quite ok, it just does not have the amount of stuff in it that I would like, yet. Cheers, D.

    ASR AI Skills

It was a Hell in the Pacific Beta-Test COOP mission by [KH]Foxy with 18 players that lasted for two hours. Average number of active AI units was ~80, out of ~500 in total. Hell in the Pacific is already quite script-heavy on it's own, but even with ASR_AI on, only about 3 players noticed less-than-optimal performance (but still very playable). And those most likely had gfx-related problems. People often claim that this is due to the excessive use of smoke grenades by the AI - personally, I don't have these issues, so I can't really tell (but I really like that feature). Unfortunately I didn't check server-fps, but no one experienced any troubles that might point to low server FPS, and the AI was as smart as always with ASR_AI on. I'll try to check FPS next time. Cheers, D.
  6. Yeah! Finally - one of the worst bugs got the attention it deserved. Thanks a lot BIS! :D Cheers, D.

    ASR AI Skills

Thanks again for this awesome mod Robalo. We had yet another long COOP night with a large crowd and with ASR_AI on at it was great as always. I just love that easy-to-tweak options you provided to tweak ASR_AI to everyone's taste. Keep it up! Cheers, D.

    Invasion 1944 v2.6 (CO)

    Yes, set ST_FTHud_ShownUI to 0. Cheers, D.

    ASR AI Skills

Isn't this more the fault of the Fist Aid Module you use? It probably sets players 'captured', so the AI doesn't shoot them any more. *** I'm really looking forward to the announced tweaks, Robalo :) Cheers, D.

    Arma 2 Addon request thread

I'd really like to see a FIAT G.91R/4 'Gina' This is certainly a plane for an artist that want's to do something truely unique ;) It's a nice and cheap multi-role aircraft that makes sense in the scope of ArmA 2 and might fit many a faction, especially in the Cold War era of course. Wiki link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_G.91 Cheers, D.
  11. Thanks for these new commands and the continued support, BIS! As for bugs still waiting to be squashed -> Vote on THIS one :) Cheers, D.
  12. I guess this should be moved to the editing forums. Anyway: There exists an example backpack model + tutorial in that section. Works like a charm. Cheers, D.
  13. I have to agree :D Keep it up! And if you ever have a script/config problem that looks like you can't solve it, don't hesitate to ask. I'd do my best to help. Ah, each day should have 48 hours, then I'd apply for a job in your mod team too. But alas, next to HIP, DIH Africa and other commitments, there is no more time :( Anyway, looking forward to this a lot! :) Cheers, D.
  14. Indeed. But who knows? With the recent extra-attention to the MP aspects of ArmA, this might finally get fixed. *fingers crossed*
  15. I'd like to point out an other major MP bug (again). If buildings got destroyed during a mission, they are magically intact on clients that JIPed in after the building has been destroyed. This leads to weird situations where players hide behind buildings that only they can see, because in fact they have been destroyed a long time ago, and so on. This is really a very big issue for long missions that tend to have a lot of JIPing players (maybe even for DayZ). Ticket: https://dev-heaven.net/issues/18492 Cheers, D.

    September 1939 Mod

May I ask for your source here? I would really like that to be true, but I never saw that this has been confirmed. And on topic: Very nice model and texture, can't wait driving around in that one :) Cheers, D.

Hm... yeah, I think 10% are done already. But you will just have to wait and see. Cheers, D.

    Hell in the Pacific MOD

It has come to our attention that an older version of the HIP beta has been leaked. While it's a bit sad that this happened, it pleases us that people want HIP so bad that they even resort to illegal means to get it. Should some of you get hold of that leaked copy of HIP, please keep in mind that this version is already several month old and the mod has been improved in many areas since... ... for example HIP's small arms: The British Sten SMG, recently redone by Waxbutter, in all it's beauty :): Also our mission framework has seen a lot of improvements, new features have been added to our logistics module, our static weapons got some new functionality as well and much more. Cheers, Dimitri

    Hell in the Pacific MOD

Now that Gachopin has posted his excellent work on the kurogane/daruma, this seems to be the right time to present a special group of Japanese community members: Classic, Monotone and Yellow have kindly provided us with Japanese voice samples that have already been put into the mod and work great. Major Kudo and Gachopin (well known from JSDF mod and other addons) have offered to support us in the modelling department. They have quite a lot of stuff in the works right now and we are looking forward to post some pics in the near future. We at HIP are especially happy that we get support by Japanese members despite language and time zone constraints. We hope this will help us to present both sides of the conflict portrayed in our mod equally. *** Also (from good olde Europe) we welcome aboard Babylonjoke, who already did some nice statics for us and is working on other stuff as well. Below you can see his big Japanese barrack (imported by Waxbutter) in action on Pedersen's map Kohima Ridge. Thanks a lot guys, we hope this will be a long and fruitful cooperation for everyone's benefit :D Cheers, Dimitri for the Hell in the Pacific team
