If it was heavy mouse aim i wouldnt care..just turn the dpi up a tad if you hate it, but i use low sens anyway from cs... its the input lag..how far you move your mouse onthe mousepad should track the same in the game...its just how you calibrate it, some like the movement to be faster than others... BUT... WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE THE HELL THE RETICULE IS GOING TO END UP, THAT'S JUST STUPID AND UNCALLED FOR AND MUST BE FIXED everyone opposed..lol i'm sorry but you're not too bright and honestly should be gaming because what I see now isnt gaming..its coders being lazy and not finishing the game. Make it an option and fix it...

Are all the people in arma2 14 year old kids? My thread(the mouse fix) is full of tools like this kid... "get over it" is the answer all these kids use in any forum post..lmfao... Seems thats what most of the community is like over here, damn shame. Run by immature kids.. -
QUOTE FOR TRUTH. you and hundreds upon hundreds of others, its not just these forums they're complaining its all over the net lol...arma2 needs to step up and give us the option to turn it off cuz this game looks fun as hell but as of now. That shit is just annoying.

LOL. I'll see about those vids. I'm pretty positive those who don't see it have never played any other fps in their life. It'S pretty blatent and redic.
-
Ah i could care less about realism. But not being able to aim is unrealistic for any game...period.
-
Yeah man that was pretty funny wasnt it, esp the part with the 100m hip shooting, HAHAH yeah dude that was hilarious i agree
-
Also well said pilot...these "players" have no idea what they're talking about, their argument consists of one word...realism...and that right there what you said shuts that argument up...lol in real life you know where you aim and in the game you have no idea where the weapon is going haha, well put. oh yeah def not user friendly..simulation or not, i def know where my gun is going, in this game its a toss up when you move the mouse if the gun is going to be anywhere near where you point lmfao how can people like this is beyond me so im quite confused why people are arguing..
-
All these other people need to re read that.. well said.

Damn nice post homie, I posted my credentials so people wouldnt think who is this idiot/nobody flaming...Ive played in high levels of competitive play and have the history to prove it and I want this game to be played by a competitive community, not just pub stars...Bringing strategy to this game would be fun as hell, but from what ive seen and WHAT ive read so far on the internet this game was released without being finished, people are calling this company lazy... From what ive seen from this thread its more like a 60/40 split for people in favor of leaving it calling this a "simulation" which is a joke of an argument but their views none the less. Putting an option in for players instead of forcing them to play it "your way" would bring a whole new genre of players to this game and it would really take off...players do pick up this game and think, holy shit its broken...then we have some of you with your head up your asses calling us idiots...Dont understand why a patch with the option for mouse customization is too much to ask so mouse movement is perfect instead of sluggish and.."REAL" for those of you typing it over and over again. Forcing hundreds of players to play with sluggish movement isnt right, give us the option instead of just saying screw off. We are arguing this so much because we like this game and it has a lot of potential...you should be grateful we care so much that we fight to have things fixed.

I can deal with it not being as big as CS, or not having the tournament money, or tournaments for that matter, but the movement...it would make it so much more enjoyable for players used to ( and it sounds mean ) but for players used to any of FPS ever played, the mouse moves as precise as you want it to, not to far, or sluggish...This game has delta force written all over it...but wow just fixed the aiming PLEASE, just asking for an option so you can have a mouse fix if you want to...doesnt have to apply to the people opposed(still cant see their reasoning behind it) but it would be a players choice.

I have played top levels of competitive play and I've competed with the best. With the news of this game being released I was thrilled because it reminded me a lot of Delta Force, the vast landscapes with a battlefield twist. This is the perfect combination for a great game. When I first tried the game out I instantly noticed the mouse problems, the sluggish movement, lack of the split second precision needed to be a real competitive game. I really want this game to succeed but the basic's need to be fixed first and the biggest problem right off the bat I see is the movement. In competitive gaming you need to be able to hit those split second flicks using muscle memory. I think the controls should be way more customizable so you could drop the sens really low or really high depending on preference and get rid of the mouse smoothing. This game has the potential to be one of the best games of the year as far as competitive play and I want to do all I can to get our voices heard. The aiming needing to be precise is a basic fundamental aspect of an FPS game. Pretty sad the buyers have to bring this to the attention of the creators. PLEASE post your thoughts and lets turn some heads and hope the next patch makes this one of the talked about competitive games for the years to come.

Movement is so sluggish in all BIS games, WHY?

nope, def not the case but thanks for the reply =/ why would you make a first person shooter and make the movement sluggish and non precise...sigh. -

reading half of these responses saying the movement is fine makes me laugh...who the hell cares if YOU think its realistic, its a game... and its the reason WHY this game will flop. The movement is terrible and a mousefix needs to be made immediately if this game is going to go ANYWHERE =[ -
BUMP This is killing the game, and will be the reason why it flops. So much potential here too..shame. Coming from high levels of competitive play in CSS and other competitive FPS games, this will fail without a mouse fix. The admin who posted about pointer precision wasn't helping because anyone who STILL has that checked shouldnt be gaming in the first place. This smoothing is terrible and keeps you from precise aiming like top FPS shooters..never run across a game that thinks this is okay to play on...I def wont be buying this and neither will anyone that plays competitively, just pub nubs that are oblivious anyway, FIX THIS PLEASE AND SAVE THIS GAME.
