Jungle Wars: Island of Lingor
Rogue246 replied to icebreakr's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Sounds like the Microsoft scandal. Bundle a browser with your OS and use it as a selling point. Oh yeah, Nobody else can login with the other browsers either.. Really? I think the big issue is they went ahead and repacked the keys which didn't need to be done. By doing that they ensured anyone downloading the map via dayzcommander could only use it on their servers. That was pre-planned I guarantee it since there's no good reason to do that only the one stated above. -

That's true however you are benefiting directly by advertising this map as a sales pitch with your hosting services which is the same thing. -
Direct download of ARMA2/OA game files?
Rogue246 replied to caen1944's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - MULTIPLAYER
I'm guessing you don't have RDP desktop access for your machine? That would make it much easier to download directly to the box. -
How to install new patchpack on dedicated server.
Rogue246 replied to logitrust's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - MULTIPLAYER
Your provider would need to take care of the patching for you whether manually or by control panel. I'd shoot them a call/ticket/email to see what the procedure is. Hope this helps! -
Direct download of ARMA2/OA game files?

Yes, Uploading everything is a pain but it's considered illegal to share files so that's pretty much the only option I'm afraid. -
Upgrading Windows based Server to 1.54

The patch was released 2 days ago. It doesn't sound like your provider pays attention.. -
ArmA 2: OA Beta Build 72967
Rogue246 replied to MavericK96's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - BETA PATCH TESTING
That's correct, patching a few servers on a single machine should never be an issue however when your talking about 20+ boxes with a handful of servers on each it gets a bit more complicated. Especially when almost every patch is succeeded with a volley of beta "fixes".. They really know how to ruin a day! ;) We're just finishing up the last patching now and in light of the inconvenience this caused the powers that be are giving everyone a 1/2 month credit for the trouble. Hope that helps! -R -
Arma has always been very sensitive to latency but many times what looks like a network error can be traced back to hardware. You have to understand Arma packs huge landscapes and detail which your video card has to render. I've personally noticed playing on my gaming notebook the video card gets very hot which is about when the jerky movement starts so you might want to take a peek at that next time your playing.
