  1. Sounds like the Microsoft scandal. Bundle a browser with your OS and use it as a selling point. Oh yeah, Nobody else can login with the other browsers either.. Really? I think the big issue is they went ahead and repacked the keys which didn't need to be done. By doing that they ensured anyone downloading the map via dayzcommander could only use it on their servers. That was pre-planned I guarantee it since there's no good reason to do that only the one stated above.
  2. That's true however you are benefiting directly by advertising this map as a sales pitch with your hosting services which is the same thing.
  3. I'm guessing you don't have RDP desktop access for your machine? That would make it much easier to download directly to the box.
  4. Your provider would need to take care of the patching for you whether manually or by control panel. I'd shoot them a call/ticket/email to see what the procedure is. Hope this helps!
  5. Yes, Uploading everything is a pain but it's considered illegal to share files so that's pretty much the only option I'm afraid.
  6. The patch was released 2 days ago. It doesn't sound like your provider pays attention..

ArmA 2: OA Beta Build 72967

That's correct, patching a few servers on a single machine should never be an issue however when your talking about 20+ boxes with a handful of servers on each it gets a bit more complicated. Especially when almost every patch is succeeded with a volley of beta "fixes".. They really know how to ruin a day! ;) We're just finishing up the last patching now and in light of the inconvenience this caused the powers that be are giving everyone a 1/2 month credit for the trouble. Hope that helps! -R

    Major multiplayer lag

Arma has always been very sensitive to latency but many times what looks like a network error can be traced back to hardware. You have to understand Arma packs huge landscapes and detail which your video card has to render. I've personally noticed playing on my gaming notebook the video card gets very hot which is about when the jerky movement starts so you might want to take a peek at that next time your playing.
