Stuck on "receiving..." in the middle of multiplayer
Sixers2329 replied to Sixers2329's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Well at least I know someone else has a similar problem. =p -
Needs moar pvp. The biggest pvp servers I've found are only like 30 people. I want to see some 50 player pvp servers. Playing with bots is too easy, you go to attack a town and they don't react as if you were in their shoes. It's not arma's fault, it's the limit of ai. Nothing is good as a real human playing against you.

I agree with him in one aspect. Arma 2 online is crap with pugs. Project reality is good in the sense that pugs gather together and play very well together. The problem with arma 2 is, if you die, it's hard to keep the squad together, and see who else in your squad clearly. With a clan or community designed for teamwork, arma is a fantastic game for it, you can't get much better, but with random public server players, its hard to achieve the same.

Stuck on "receiving..." in the middle of multiplayer
Sixers2329 posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I usually get stuck on the "receiving data..." screen after I download a mission, but after a while I can eventually get into a server by alt f4ing and restarting arma. When If I get into a multiplayer game, I'm usually fine for a while, but then I'll hit a "receiving..." screen. I can wait forever and it doesn't go away, but I can still hear everything going on around me and chat to everyone. When it happens, I've asked people in game if they knew solutions or if there was a command to disconnect back to the main menu, but no one has had the problem. It's extremely annoying having to alt tab or alt f4 out of the game and restart it multiple times to play. Any suggestions? EDIT: SOLVED BY DOWNLOADING THE NEWEST NVIDIA GRPAHICS DRIVER. (186.18) .
