I have the same problem. This is my startup screen, notice the resolution of the menus, not to mention being underwater and stuff. You can see the resolution i have set to is 2048/1152 for both i7 2.67 Ghz Asus P6T Deluxe X58 MoBo HD 4870X2 gpu 6 Gb ddr3 1600 mhz vista64 bit 1000w antec psu

Hi Ezdaroth, i'm new to these forums but i can attest to your situation. I too am having issues getting my 4870 x2 to utilize both cores with Arma II. I tried the -winxp trick and it works sometimes, like i'll randomly go from 25 fps to 55 when playing multiplayer then back down. I also cant seem to improve performance by lowering settings. If i run on high/med settings then put everything on low, i will get no fps increase. I refuse to lower the resolution because the game starts to look extremely fuzzy and bad especially with the "tired" effect from running. I would love to lower the resolution and play it in a window, but apparently that is not possible =/
