Yes i installed it by itself, from that link. i'm using this "C:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ArmA2OA.exe" -mod=@CBA;@CBA_OA;@ASR_AI The readme for ASR_AI didnt say anything about how to set it up... that's the biggest problem with adding mods to this game i think, very little info anywhere of how to set things up, the modders just take for granted you're a harcore ARMA player since years it seems.

  3. Like wrote, I use ARMA2: OA :) Steam version, if that matters.. Six Updater says it's not compatible with OA when i install it manually, and if i dont install it, Six Updater isnt listing that mod at all: http://piclair.com/data/bljdk.jpg
  4. Which A.I mod is recommended for ARMA2: OA (for singel player use)? I was recommended ASR AI in another thread, but according to the Six Updater it's not compatible..

    Metalcraze: excellent, it's mostly improved AI i'm interested in. Definitely gonna try ACE too once i've gotten more used to vanilla + ADR AI ;)

    Thanks! Too bad it's not playable with the SP campaign :/ especially since there seems to be A.I improvements and other type of gameplay improvements that would make SP even more fun. I launched the game from the Six Updater, maybe that's why the post process effect was turned off? Are there any other mod(s) recommended for the SP campaign?

    ACE for OA 1.13

    Is it recommended to use this mod for a first-time player? Will it make the game a lot harder / more complex? I'm interested in the SP campaign only (so far). Did this mod come with new textures? The vegetation suddenly looked very healthy and saturated, especially for this kind of climate, so it looked off.. but maybe that's just my imagination, or it was like that in default too :)

Thanks again for the help Günter Severloh :) I'm getting this error though, do you know why that happens: http://piclair.com/data/cd47n.jpg i tried reinstalling A2WarMod and the patch, same thing happens. Here's another error: http://piclair.com/data/z3aff.jpg i have no idea if these matters though.. i read through the installation guide and i think i've done everything right. The sky mods makes the horizon look like this: http://piclair.com/data/hm6zk.jpg without them at least the small dark line on top of the horizon disapears. Really ugly either way imo, but maybe there's no way to fix it.
  10. Günter Severloh; thanks for the help. Are there any texture or mesh replacers for Arma2? I think it could look really good with some new vegetation textures (for trees etc). I didnt find any in the mod section. Also, is there anything else i need to do to get mods working, except changing the Target line in the shortcut? I think A2WarMod is supposed to come with some better textures for the sky, but the horizon still looked kind of terrible to me, at least at night time there was a line across it that looks a bit weird..
  11. Great thanks :) I installed A2Warmod.exe (485MB) and the 1.2 patch. When i start the mod it asked for extended_evenhandlers, so i installed that too (v1.93), now it says extended_eventhandlers needs caweapons3, which i have no idea where to find, i bet if i install that it will require some other mod lol. Is there a more complete version of this mod with everything that is required for it to run or some pack with the missing mods?
  12. I played Arma2 like a year ago without mods, now i want to try it again since its been patched quite a bit since then, and i want to try it with a good mod. Any recommendations? Also, should i use the latest BETA patch?

    White screen while running

    I have this too, screen turns white (i dont need to be running) + the whole screen turns into a psychedlic goo sometimes, this doesnt look much like a bug at all, more like something to piss off the user (FADE). Get your f*cking act together BI, i've payed for this game!! This just shouldnt happen to a paying customer, your copy protection just proves one thing, that it's _not_ worth paying for games because you'll get screwed anyways. Fix it.

    Petition for mouse fix ~!

    Yeah fix the mouse movements, or at least make "normal" mouse movements optional for us who can't stand the very unnatural and robotic movements in this game. It's such a waste since the game is great otherwise. The challange of the game shouldnt be to struggle with the robotic movements, i know that normal "free floating" (or whatever we should call it) is far from realistic, but at least it isnt _annoying_. You'd get a ton of more buyers and fans just by fixing this issue.
  15. I can agree to that, but i dont agree that the movements are more _realistic_ just because the movements are "attached" to the character in the game more than a free-floating camera. If the in-game character felt more like a human and less like a robot/vehicle it might have worked great. When i move around IRL it's easy to look where ever i want or go where i want, i wont slide a short time before i stop, for example. So no, sorry but it's just not realistic and a simulator needs realism.
