Looking for Tips on Increasing Situational Awareness

Use the zoom function to scan for targets and then change to your scope/ironsight to kill them. Just follow your team members and run around zoomed up if you have to. I was like that at first but then I realised how important zoom was and it improves your kill rate by a lot, takes a while getting use to though. Look at where your team mates are shooting at and they will give you an idea where the enemy are. Also if you like the challenge but want to have fun as well select regular difficulty but change the AI to expert, it is much better and still hard at the same time. And lastly if all else fails and your on regular difficulty just look at your map. Enemy targets should appear on your map.
  2. How do you make your units hold and then move? I'm trying to make some transport helicopters pick up soldiers after 15minutes ingame. I've got the choppers on "hold" waypoint and then on a "move" waypoint. I've then added a "switch" trigger which has a countdown of 15, I don't know the units so is that 15s or 15mins? Also no matter what I set the countdown to the choppers will never move. Can anyone give me a step by step guide to how to add delays between a units actions? Thankies

    A few questions

Hi, sorry if I posted in the wrong bit, I don't see any new player sections Q1: Do you get enemy targets in armoury? I was running around through some small villages and everything was deserted... not much of a playground if you have nothing to shoot at... or did I miss something? If there aren't any enemies what's the point in the armoury, is it just to practice some flying skills? Q2: Can you explore ArmA 2 without any objectives but there are still enemies in it? Like in Oblivion where you can run around the landscape and you'll have random encounters like you'll stumble into an enemy camp? Or do you have to create all these in map editor first? Thanks

    A few questions

Thanks for the replies guys, So if I were to put civilian + ambient life on enabled/high in the My Mission ->Combat template I would get the same result as putting down the modules in map editor? Also will ACM randomly spawn a battle right around you or will it give you a warning and spawn it far away? I don't wanna run about and suddenly get mowed down by a tankXD
