Hello everyone. I've been waiting for this game a long time! My hopes and dreams are being dashed on the rocks of software instability right now! I can usually get 5 - 10 mins of gameplay on any setting, high or lowest... my machine is capable. However, after that amount of time the game just locks up completely and I have to system reset. Occasionally I get ERROR : Device Freed error message... but that is a rarity compared to the system lock ups. I'm running an Asus P5K3 Deluxe Mobo. CPU: Intel® Core2 Extreme CPU Q6850 @ 3.00GHz I've got 4 gigs or DDR3 (1333) RAM 30 gigs plus free on a 10,000 RPM drive I've updated everything possible. Mobo / GFX card / Patched the game etc If anyone can suggest why this might be happening I'd offer some serious gratitude. p.s. I've tried physx off and the 8 frame pre-render stuff etc etc.

Tried a bunch of different drivers now... no joy.

Right I think we've exhausted all options then... Looks like its over to Nvidia or over to BIS. SAVE USSSSSSSSS

I've been messing with my RAM timings, after I read somewhere, that if the game is crashing, and the sound continues, it could be a RAM issue. By changing my mem timings from 9,9,9,9 28 to 10,10,10,10 30 I got maybe 4 minutes of extra gameplay before the usual crash to black screen and sound continuing... Is this the same crash you guys experience?

Is anyone running this game successfully with an 8800 ultra?

Hey there, I'm seeing graphical errors even on the lowest graphics settings... these get worse until there is nothing but lines being drawn from the centre of the screen outwards... this is quickly followed by a total crash, here system reboot is required... Occasionally I get a crash which says Error: Device Freed, but thats quite rare. 5 mins of gameplay max at the mo... PLEASE help!!!! System: Windows XP Pro mobo: P5K3 Deluxe CPU: Intel Core 2 Extreme Q6850 3GHz 4 gigs RAM DDR3 Geforce 8800 Ultra 768megs ram 10,000 RPM HD with 30 gigs+ free. p.s. ALL drivers updated to latest, and game patched to latest, AND physx disabled and the 8 Frame advance thing tried. arrggggghhhhhhhhh.
