I recommend installing windows always on the best drive possible. Same for arma :). -
Nothing really has drop. It just initial drop to give you the illusion. They go straight forever after start.

If you want to get shot more often than in 3 hours, get to the full 52 player servers that play Takistan and don't wander around instead go for a town that is under attack. I swear you get clipped every 10 minutes if you actually do what you're supposed but are bad at it :). And where I play its not bot vs bot it's mostly player vs player with bots as a little backup. I've played about 1000 hours of this game mode and nothing else and still not bored with the "poor strategy game" you claim it is. Each to his own I guess. Huge driving distance? Depends how bad your commander is at placing bases and then depends on what driving distance is huge. And if you think anything more than 2 KM is crazy, then this is the wrong game for you. Slim chance that anyone will drive by? You mean after they take one of your towns, and are about to go for the next one? Will they go home after they took that one town or will they continue for the next? Again, only depends where you place your ambush rather than go to a random place between 2 towns. 2500 player map? People at the server think Takistan is TOO SMALL with 52 players. Remember they buy tanks, they move with vehicles that go 100 km/h even uphill and they buy choppers and planes. I don't know what game your looking for here. Probably the one where you will get shot immediately in 30 seconds after you join if you don't start running. This is warfare, not team fortress. Okay, next, too many opportunities to avoid the enemy. With how many players again? Tell that to the guy in a Cobra that it's too easy to avoid it. Or the guy watching you with a Metis on a hilltop. Or Abrams. Where I play it's a problem sometimes to get out of base because of air domination. And just because you can flank a town from a different direction other than the road doesn't really make it too easy to avoid. I would like to know more why you think this is a problem. Did you stumble on the server with 14 players in it and then after 3 hours it was 8 players? I know the game is not for everyone but anyone who actually plays warfare regularly in a full server knows that what you say doesn't really make much sense. Then again it's your opinion so you can have it but don't tell everyone what is what when people on the real servers love how warfare works and I believe they have way more game hours behind them. -

There's usually 1 or 2 full warfare servers with 52 players after 2 PM (GMT) that require no addons to join, only optional ones. Then again warfare might take some time to get a hang of. What I was thinking when I saw Arma 2 on steam top sales the last few days was that what percentage of those players actually get to play on a good server with people that are ready to help them AND also a game type they like. I would say a lot of the people go "this game is dead blah only few servers with more than 10 I go back to CoD or whatever". -

But he's telling us to try to play this game with 360 controller, what do you except? I use it for flying, which it is great at, but shooting? Hell no. -
I would prefer the DLC to be instead of a below average campaign with below average voice acting (PMC), to just feature some nice new weapons and vehicles and maybe some neat gadgets + maybe a one fairly big mission to demonstrate the introduced stuff. Would propably please the warfare crowd and the coop crowd when you give them new tools to play with rather than a campaign that's over in a few hours and then you just go "I enjoy warfare more than this". BAF IMO was a nice DLC since a few useful vehicles for warfare were introduced (Warrior, Wildcat, sometimes Jackal) and nice weapons like AS50, NLAW and the very nice looking british infantry camoflauge. PMC had KA-60, armoured SUV and the weird Sputnik and was more lacking in the weapons department compared to BAF. What Arma 2 needs in my opinion for DLC at the moment is new OPFOR high-tech weapons and vehicles. Currently the OPFOR weapons are just plain boring and I usually end up using FN Fal because AKs are just horrible in this game while blufor is full of cool stuff like the Mk17 variants, M110, nice TWS weapons and LMGs. We need some BMPTs and AN-94s!

I too have a feeling the bullets fly too slow. I've been playing this game for A LOT and I still lead my targets inappropriately, meaning that I don't lead enough, even fairly close.

Voted yes. On servers people would be adding each others to friends list and we could arrange Coops or go play warfare more easily. I've used Steam for a loooong time and no problems so far. DLC distribution would be effortless and swift, same with patching.

I agree. Compare the cost of getting Tunguska versus Wildcats with hangars on. Of course there is AA pods but you can't spread them out to enemy territory because that is where the careful pilots will be attacking from, not go to base hunt with them asap.

Nothing against the fee, but currently you can teleport anywhere on the map with the fee travel. This eliminates some strategies like cutting enemies fast travel lines (Timurkalay being a very important town for that).

Income is somehow broken since everyone has over 100K after few hours unless they spam millions of tanks and what not. Could be that we get double rank income, or rank + town income. I've seen guys with 250k at end game. Little rant time, so take it as you like but I'm just telling my opinion on things: Humwee CROWS ---> LF level 0 maybe) Those things dominate the first hour and a half so hard. I don't think opfor has won a game yet in Celle. Barracks 3 or LF 0 is where I would put these. And maybe Jackal back to barracks since nobody uses that when it is in LF. Blufor gets stryker ICV M2 at start, opfor gets Vodnik PK...a huge difference between the power level of these two. 2 BRDMs for opfor? You always get the upper hand with blufor with this kind of advantage. AS50 to opfor? Opfor seems to be missing an effective very long range rifle (KSVK doesn't count since it's useless in <300m) but blufor has a lot to choose from in M110 and MK17 snipers and other fancy tools.

I can't choose the whole team anymore by holding shift and choosing one of the team members anymore. Well I can do it for SHIFT + F1 but if I have other groups I can't choose them this way. Also AI drives way too much on side of road now and sometimes completely freezes at crossroad.

Few thoughts: The first 2 air upgrades are very cheap, with Air 1 in around 2500 supply and short time to upgrade + hangars enabled, it doesn't take very long to get that Wildcat. But then again, if Hangars are not enabled, you need the 5000 supply to get that AF up first. Then the upgrade costs seem reasonable. With hangars enabled though, it's too easy. And with the new rearm system and even before, I think planes could be a little bit cheaper. The ones that can't VTOL. It takes a lot of time and involves tons of risks to fly planes and rearm at airfields for over minute. The enemy knows the only places they can rearm in, and this makes them quite hazardous things to invest in compared to choppers. And I love that there's no restriction to placing buildings. Opens up a lot of juicy base locations :).

Select an AI, then just aim at a static defense and when you see the get in order the game crashes.

many people are getting CTD when they select an AI, and aims the circle to a static defense, just aim at it while AI selected and the game will crash. This was with 7777 beta. Maybe also with this one?
