Same thing, when I try to launch directly from the root folder I get this error: "Arma2OA.exe - Entry Point Not Found The procedure entry point D3DXSaveSurfaceToFileA could not be located in the dynamic link library d3dx9_41.dll" ------------ I have run the DXSETUP.exe located in the /DirectX folder and it appears to install fine.

But my older games that are Directx 9-based, like BF2, run fine, how can they launch if DX9 is not installed?

Is there a maximum speed at which we should be lifting vehicles? Twice I have just been cruising along while lifting the MHQ, well above the terrain, not near any enemy locations and my chopper just explodes. The MHQ survives and needs repairs, but the chopper is gone.

My specs: eVGA 780i mobo (P08 BIOS) 2 GB DDR2 ATI 4870HD 512mb 150GB raptor HD Resolution 1920X1080 When I first played this game, I was using the old 8.9 drivers. Massive texture corruption, frame slowdown, virtually unplayable. Upgraded to catalyst 9.6 No problems at all, other than some textures "re-drawing" itself as I turn around. My videocard fan speed is set to 45% when gaming. I see about 30-35 fps on average- 40-55 fps in open less populated areas. 20-25 in dense populated city areas and firefights.

9.6 drivers cured the problems for me. I recommend a clean uninstall/wipe then reinstall. Use driver cleaner pro. I am using 1920X1080 resolution. Most settings high, AA normal, post effects Low. In battle, no lower than 22 fps and it's smooth. Otherwise, a steady 30-45 fps depending on terrain and city.

Which drivers work/do not work in order to get playable, consistent, unartifact-ed frame rates? What resolution are you using? I have an ATI 4870HD 512mb. Thanks.
