    D2D ArmA 2 problem

Yup, sure enough that was it. I can now successfully install ArmA 2. Now hopefully I don't have any runtime issues. This better not be as buggy as the first one.

    D2D ArmA 2 problem

Thanks. I appreciate the input. However I believe my issue is just an incomplete download. After just a quick look at D2D's faq, I found that because my download is not zipped, it's a partial download. This last time I actually watched their downloader just quit. No errors, it just stops and it won't resume the existing download when it's restarted. It starts the download all over again. What a peice of crap! Luckily you can download the file directly without that turd of a download manager by using Opera. I tried FireFox but it still launched the download manager, but Opera handles the download all by itself. So here's hoping that this works!

    D2D ArmA 2 problem

I'm having the exact same issue. However poking around in the downloaded files many appear to be corrupt. I've run a chkdsk on the volume where I've downloaded the game files and it always comes back clean. I thought maybe I had a bad download so I tried again. This time it stopped shortly after starting. However due to how this downloader works, it appears that all files are there and complete when they are not. They have the correct names, icons and a non-zero size. So I think the problem is just due to an incomplete download. You may want to try again. I'm trying again on another PC to see if that makes a difference.
