Name of a specific coop mission focused ArmA 2 Combat Operations game group?
i3lueHorneT posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
I am trying to recall the website of a coop focused ArmA 2 game group. It is not Shack Tactical but something close to it. They host open nighs every few months were pubbies can join, I believe their last one was back in mid November but I'm not sure as I didn't attend. Does anyone have an idea of what this milsim group might be? Their webpage was very professional and well done and they have two groups one can join. The first group is something like a pubbie group and the second is the coop mission group where they host a game night once a week in between practice nights. Thanks. -
Sniper range & unit ID drills - Making soldier mannequins & target dummys?

But we can both agree that would make my life a lot easier. Continuing this at the OFPEC forums as they have an entire community dedicated to the editor. You may visit my thread here: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?p=1347220#post1347220 -
Sniper range & unit ID drills - Making soldier mannequins & target dummys?

NOTE: Continuing this at the OFPEC forums as they have an entire community dedicated to the editor. You may visit my thread here: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?p=1347220#post1347220 I should preface by noting that I'm a complete novice with the ArmA 2 editor. I'm making a sniper range and army recognition course on and in the forests around the large northeastern runway in Chernarus. An example of a drill might be; you are placed in a forest, you know units are hidden in cover behind trees around you, you have to ID friend/foe as dummies: lean out of cover, move from cover to cover, pop up from cover. Post the number of what you answer, please include how to set a unit regardless if it's a starting position for the unit (ie: standing). How to position mannequin: 1. Disable AI, no movement or change facing, firing etc. 2. Bring ironsight up 3. Relax weapon at side 4. Stand 5. Crouch 6. Prone 7. Lean left/right How to move target dummy: 8. Cycle back and forth between waypoints. 9. Sprint waypoints. 10. Run waypoints. 11. Walk waypoints. 12. Crouch run waypoints. 13. Crouch walk waypoints. 14. Crawl waypoints. 15. Slow crawl waypoints. 16. Wait (time) at a waypoint. 17. Hold a position before switching to another (keep a unit prone 10 secs, then crouched 10s, then standing, etc.). 18. Change facing once a waypoint is reached. 19. Place a waypoint marker for the player where a new drill will begin. 20. Trigger a drill/ai behavior once a player waypoint is reached. 21. Friendly units unattached to player's squad. I'm sure I'll be editing this as I encounter the need for more/less. Thanks! -
Sniper rifle & ACOG scope ranging (mil dots) and sniper training maps?
i3lueHorneT posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
Used the search function and didn't see anything, forgive me if I've missed it. I'm looking for scope ranging (where the bullet hits at various ranges) info for all the sniper rifles in the game (and the M16 ACOG), as well as some info on the rifle itself (pros, cons, etc.), something along the lines of this: "The Arma M24 sniper" ( http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2255106&page=1#Post2255106 ). I'm also interested in sniper ranges and training maps, I've heard there were some good ones for ArmA but haven't found anything for the sequel. Some info on mil dots: A fairly detailed writeup on mil dots: ( http://www.alpharubicon.com/leo/mildot.htm ) Shooter Ready - Training course and long range shooting simulation: ( http://www.shooterready.com/mildot.html ) Thanks. -
Game input still active when in chat

This started for me in the demo, though not at first. Now I have retail and it's immediately an issue, no grace period like I had in the demo. Well, at least I'm not alone. -
Mature clan/group of guys that play together, use voice & teamplay?
i3lueHorneT posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA - MULTIPLAYER
Hey guys, I'm looking to play with a regular group of mature guys (I'm 24 myself), people that meet up at generally the same times throughout the week or on a particular day and game together with voice and teamplay. Not necessarily a clan, but guys that like to have fun and are fairly laid back - not that they don't play serious, just people that play their best and have fun doing it. There a forum, voice server or clan site I should check out? Let me know how big the group of guys you play with is and what game modes you play. Thanks.
