  1. It's a hell of an improvement. I'm getting far better performance and i can max my settings out at the sacrifice of view distance with a solid framerate (although still not as good as people not using i7s or 2xxs). Still, I'm getting fewer unexplained CTDs and I can finally enjoy the game somewhat :ok: Only problem is I'm on Manhattan, which was borderline uncompletable and unplayable due to random save crashes. I'm having great fun with the mission, but sadly despite the improvement I'm still getting save crashes, leaving me constantly reloading a praying the game saves and doesn't explode on me. I certainly hope it's a Manhattan problem. i sure ain't playing the rest of the game if it persists
  2. I'm having some really bad CTD and performance issues at the moment, which is a crying shame considering I'm using a high-end rig. My specs are: i7 920-2.6ghz Asus x58 motherboard GTX260 6gb DDR3 Ram 700w power supply I'm aware that i7s and 2xx cards don't seem to go well with Arma 2 (and I'd really appreciate some optimisation, especially considering people with lesser rigs are getting flying performance, and I'm barely hitting 25fps), but aside from spotty performance I've had really bad problems with crashes. Mainly after about 15 minutes of play, the graphics go apeshit and I crash to desktop without any error. My temperatures are fine from what I can tell and my PC can murder games like Crysis and World in Conflict. I've updated all my drivers, and the problems persist whatever settings I use. Halp :<
