How can u possibly have such poor performance!? .. Your system absolutely rapes mine and I get 20-60 FPS whilst playing SP/MP :O

Did GA.Shrug actually get banned? ... He was 1 crazy guy! I tend to stay away from CTI at the moment as people just seem to be stood in the main base getting bored (through not knowing what to do or no quicker way of getting out of the base) and eventually TKin every1 as a result. The map is simply too big, I found my self having to walk to everywhere but quit after half hour of walking! Oh and does any1 find that in all MP games that mission makers really dont want people using jets. Only a few pilot slots or you have to get a specific rank which would take a good 2-3 hours of play time b4 you got it. :)

I had a go on a super power server last night. Mixed feelings about it really. On one hand it spawned me about 4000ft away from any type of action in them middle of a forest lol! After having to run for a good 20 minutes i finally got there and instantly shot dead ha! I then respawned somewhere close which I was pleased about but it does seem a bit random in play. There didnt seem to be any team work goin on at all as what I now expect from the public servers which is a shame :( Every1 just attacked a different town so I decided to buy my own AI squad but what did they do? Ran off in the other direction and disobeyed all orders haha, I had to leave after that as I had spent an hour just running to places, was not fun! Anyway that was my take on this new game mode to me :)

What do superpower modes show up as in the server browser. I only see the usual Coop, CTI, CTF at the moment

I cant beleive ppl are arguing FOR 3rd person view in a mil sim!.. I shall just switch to the camera I have stuck on top of a pole taped to my back to get a better view! crazy!

I like Evo and Dom! The others just seem to drag out longer although, by my own admission, I dont really know how to play the others :D Im going back to Project Reality anyway.. yes its old etc but the teamwork on there is so much better imo... please be gentle :P

The game only seems to use 2gig ram at most so XP shud be fine with it, wont see much in the benefits of 64bit as it runs in 32bit neway by the looks of it :S I really dont want to go back to XP tho... 64bit OS's are stupidly faster for everything I need.. so I shall be waiting it out :P

Getting 25-45 FPS now ... big improvement since doing the above tricks! Well played!

Hmm i have no idea why, as your settings are identicle to mine bar one! sceneComplexity=160000; ... other than that its pretty much the same and minor differences in the ram but it plays so much better and thats with higher settings! Well done sir!

Cheers ill give it ago... since update and a clean install of the 190 beta drivers ... huge improvement to be fair! a lot smoother gameplay online for sure!

Right just did a clean install of the 190 Beta drivers (Geforce) and then ran the ArmaMark 2 .. 182 geforce drivers scored 2508.9 with the 186 drivers scoring the least at 2476... the newer beta 190 drivers got 2927. Ah well im gonna leave it now altho I think it will crash after 20 mins on the 190 drivers, altho last time I tried them it wasnt a clean install of them!

Just seems to stutter a lot on every test .. im assuming my CPU is the bottleneck? Although, when running the CPU runs at about 75%. Edit: Overclocked CPU from 2.4ghz to 3ghz and still no increase ... so i am giving up for now as I have tried my best lol

Applied the new patch as I didnt notice it was out! (as stated in previous post) So far am running on the 182 Geforce drivers and seems to be a very slight improvement. What are you guys using to see FPS in game? Im going to put the Geforce 186 drivers back on and try also followed by the beta 190 drivers. THEN if all else fails I will give up because even if I set the fill rate to summat stupid like 25% in 800 res mode i still get poor performance. Now im proabably gonna put it down to my Q6600 quad core 2.4ghz not being up to the task or, im praying, that its just the general optimisation of the game and things will get better with later patches.

ya know what .. im an idiot ... i totally did not know they had released a mini patch! Just started to dload it now and ppl seem to be quite impressed with it ... neway shall see how it goes ! :D

you guys keep goin on about Arma2 Mark... ive dloaded it but theres no instructions on how u install or run it!? I have Q6600 2.4ghz (yes the easily overclockable CPU doesnt overclock on my system, typical!) 4 gig ram (PC6400 800mHZ) Windows 7 64bit Palit GTX 260 876mb (or sumthing near) 216 core Gigabyte GA-N650iSli-DS4 board Hellish performance online for arma 2 and not much better in single player either... sick of tryin different settings so i think am gonna live with it and hope they fix it. I cant comment on my FPS as I havent got anything to record them with but its not good I can say that lol. Anyway tried low end settings and high end, no difference, I give up... jsut thought id try this Arma mark thing. Cheers PS! I play domination mostly at the moment but i would like to see more PvP. Time and time again people keep ranting on about how Arma 2 allows you to do eveything the community is asking for. Thats cool and i applude that but its fair enough to keep goin on about freedom of the creator but I guess i would like to know how it is implemented.. through a single mission edit of a map? or are can peoples ideas just be brought in through entire overhauls like mods? Hey I'm new to the Arma series and bought Arma 2. Just a quick question about the multiplayer aspect. I have recently been playing Project Reality and so far that has been superior to what I have found in Arma 2 online. Am I being silly or can you not create squads or even see who is in your squad in any possible way. Im also assuming voice doesnt work in Arma 2 either as not heard a whisper lol. I was thinking that u might be assigned a squad automatically when looking at the roles? but still when runnin around online it just feels like you are completely solo'ing every thing as theres absolutly no reference to whos in your squad and where they are :( Hope Im just missing something obvious when online

To be honest, i have kind of skipped the singleplayer, apart from training and threw my self straight into multiplayer 2 days ago. Yes i was a wide eyed donkey when i first started but only 2 days on and its all starting to come together. Jump into any server, try pick the nearest group of people and support them. Dont try fly anything unless u have had practice in SP. Most importantly, ask questions when u are unsure, every1 has helped me out soooo much lately to bring me upto speed with how things work! :)

Hehe .. it was me u were answering the questions for snackbar i was Adam. You proved to be extemely helpful last night on that server! Since you answering my basic questions in the game i understood it a lot more and had a lot more fun to be fair. I think I will prob prefer domination etc over coop as they just seem dis-organised! I understand what ur all saying. Its just the gameplay to me appears to be, all die and respawn at main base and ultimately head back into the battlefield with a random bunch of people everytime. They dont exactly do that in real life and just thought that was one of the basic things to have for a military sim type game. And i dont know if all servers are disabling it but voip doesnt appear to be on any servers? Every1 has gone backwards and stuck with text typin while u are tryin to play the game.
