I thought I was detailed, sheesh.. No I dont have any overclocked, it freezes all the time doesnt matter what Im playing, as far as mods go the only servers I really play on are the Warfare BE and anything that says Hold for the gametype. Freezing starts upon startup of the game though. No I havent checked the temps of my cpu/gpu but like I said I can run my other games just fine and they are all either on high or max settings.

Just for the record the game has always ran perfectly for me, now all of a sudden when I try to play ARMA2 or OA I get this freezing every 10 seconds or so and it stays frozen for about 3-4 seconds. I dont understand why this is happened seeing as how like I said this game has always ran perfectly. I've tried turning down all the video options but it doesnt help at all, not really sure. core 2 duo @ 2.99 (2.99) geforce gtx 260 893mb (thats what it says on the box, 893 or 892) vista 32 bit 3GB ram It has nothng to do with my hardware I have NEVER had a problem running this game, EVER. Now all of a sudden its doing this. One thing though, I've tried running all my other games and they run fine. Crysis, Crysis 2, Arkham Asylum, Deus Ex: HR, STALKER.. etc. etc. Thats why Im so frustrated lol, ARMA2 is my favorite shooter and its messin up on me ;\ Oh and :mad: It stopped doing it for about a day.. now it started again. Seriously this is so frustrating I've never had a problem like this before ;[ ---------- Post added at 05:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:10 PM ---------- I've tried re-installing Battle-Eye through STEAM as well. I've tried verifying all the game files, defragging them, making sure firewalls are all off, defragging my computer, rebooting STEAM and my computer. Everything.

tell me about it, I bought this game thinking "Hell yeah I finally get to play the original online" but no1 seems to have updated to 1.99 :(. Is there a way I can downgrade?

Btw its Arma Cold War assault. I feel like I've wasted my money, I love ARMA online and I've always wanted to play the original OFP (Thats what this is right?) but no servers are live for me cause I have version 1.99, is there a way I can downgrade? I swear why the heck cant people just update their dang games?!

Hey, Im currently running an ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT and I have to turn the graphics way down when I play. I just remembered I have a NVIDIA GE FORCE 8500 GT in my closet un-opened. Would the 8500 work better or not? Im not looking for anyones opinion on which company is better (which is what I always get), I just want to know which one of those vid cards would be better for running arma 2.

How do I pick my weapon class? I tried going to the map and clicking Units then my name then Gear but it only lets me choose the same weapon I have. I remember in the first ARMA you just went to the map or something and there was a list "Sniper" "Assault" etc.

Well can one of you point me in the right direction, what should I be looking for in terms of a new graphics card? I just want to be able to run this.

I understand what they were trying to do but I dont get it, I loved the first ARMA but I cant play ARMA2 due to my specs not being high enough (I even tried at a 1280 resolution, at least I think it was 1280). Its a shame though, the game could have been that much more popular if they took it easy with the graphics. Now probably 1/2 the people that wanted to play it wont be able to. I'm just lucky I plan on upgrading my system in July. I think the game would have been just as enjoyable with graphics similar to the first ARMA.. anybody agree? disagree? ATI radeon HD 2600XT Dual core 2.0 ghz 2.0ghz 4 GB RAM Is there any reason i cant run this? BTW the STEAM version of the demo is alot faster of a download, only took me almost 2 hours.
