Bought Arma 2 yesterday and played it for a fair while online - I can see a lot of potential in it so far, I am lost on a couple of points that I thought maybe someone here could clarify for me (I've not played any other Bohemia games since Operation Flashpoint!).
I came across a few servers that I believe were unmodded, but required ranking for using vehicles. As a brand new player, I started as a private, and during one of the games I was promoted to corporal, which gave me access to at least an extra vehicle or two, but none of the armored ones.
I noticed when I next connected to another server, I was back at private rank, rather than my attained corporal rank from the previous server - is your current rank not persistent across all servers?
