    How to install Battleye?

    Woot thanks
  2. It became a habit in Arma 1 to ALWAYS say no to battleye during install/patches since no one ever used that piece of crap. However, now in 1.05 everyone is using it? Long story short, I told it NOT to install the "optional" battleye and now I can't play on any of the good servers (since they are using it now). When I try to rerun the 1.05 patch it doesn't ask me to install battleye again. So now I'm stuck, because www.battleye.com only has you download their .dll and tell you to put it into a "Battleye" folder in your appdata->local->arma2 folder....which doesn't exist. So, I made a "Battleye" folder and chucked the .dll in there, but to my dismay everytime I join a server it tells me battleye failed to initialize AND it deletes the .dll from the Battleye folder I made in my arma2 local folder. How the HELL am I supposed to install an optional anti-cheat software if there's no other way OTHER THAN through the patch?!?! :butbut: Halp :(
  3. Myke, question for you sir. If I put your F-16C in my server's domination map (I assume I have to import it as a stand-alone mod first for the editor to see it), will other users be required to have your mod to see/fly it? Or, will the server simply say they are missing key files (ie: your jet's actual files) and they cannot play? If the latter, is there ANY possible way to get around forcing people to have your jet installed as a mod to play your plane on our server? Perhaps a way to overload the map so it downloads from the server -> client for that map ONLY? -Thanks :D
  4. I don't understand, that code won't work at all. You're not grabbing the gamelogic marker positions in either of those code blocks, nor are you grabbing the name of the specified vehicle ON that gamelogic marker. Am i missing something, because your comments for the first code block don't match up with the code you wrote ? ---------- Post added at 08:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:21 PM ---------- Using the recently published domination's wreck chopper respawn script, I've reverse engineered my own vehicle respawn scipt out of that (woot thanks dude for the examples in your map!) My problem now is, how do I get ANY aircraft/tank/truck etc etc's ID? Example: The above code is assigning ANY chopper into said array of 0-6 a value based (for the else statement) on it's current name to a spawn location ("HH1" = a hind named chop1 on my map, and choppa1 being a simple marker) Updated :)
  5. Is there any chance you guys could use this in an example? e.g: +Vehicle to respawn: Hind-D that's named chopper1 +Vehicle respawn location: a Helipad named Ch1 -Danke :D
  6. Unfortunately I = Noob to scripting, but I'm trying to learn :D! Would you, or anyone, have any clue as to go about this :)?
  7. Hey all, me again with another noob question :D! I've noticed, when editing the newer Domination for our server use, that vehicles not "originally" aligned to your side (ie: Hind-V[RUS] being used by USMC) that it causes you a "team kill" or negative score when shooting an enemy of that country's origin (ie: a Hind-V[RUS] piloted by a USMC, shooting a Russian tank). Is this an Arma2 specific bug, seeing as how it's so new, or is there a script I need to align it's faction to the pilot correctly? If there IS a script, can someone throw it my way pweez :D? -Danke ---------- Post added at 06:55 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:51 AM ---------- Another, yet off topic question, but i've also been looking for a server admin ONLY command/script to summon specific vehicles to the admin's current location. I ask simply because I'm wanting some kind of "idiot" proof ability to summon transports when noobs on our domination server don't run off with our choppers without asking, in turn losing them. -Danke again :p
  8. Yup, found that out the long...tedious hard way :D!
  9. Woot, thanks :D! They put the 2d editor in a very odd to look for place :butbut:!
  10. I ask, simply because the in-game "hidden" editor for Arma 2 doesn't want to read extracted PBO's I've obtained from other multiplayer maps I've collected over the past couple days. How exactly is everyone editing these maps, such as domination etc? Again, I ask since my clan wants to "customize" one of the domination maps that were recently released today for our server, and we can't seem to even open the bugger in the map editor (or get it to even recognize it's in the documents/arma2/missions folder ). Thanks in Advance :D!
