Hi, I'm a big fan of Arma and of course since june, ARMA2. Because of that, I bought the game as early as I could. This meant buying the game online and downloading it. This also meant all was in German language. I can understand German fine, and speak it ok, but I'm simply much better in English (btw, I'm Dutch...). Until patch 1.03, the English language files available, did the trick: I could play online and still have everything in English. Now, with patch 1.03, (and after that the need to reinstall the English files), the Game works fine (and all in English), just NOT online anymore. .... I was kicked out of 7 out of 7 servers I tried. With 1 I was immidiately banned :confused: I now uninstalled the game, reinstalled and patched till 1.03 and all works fine again, also online. Just all in German. Is there a working way of getting to play online WITH English as language? Ok, I learn new German words each day now..... :D Thanks for any help!!!

hmmm, did you try to zoom in (default right mouse button) or use scoped rifle? And of course, if you are out in the open, and enemy is behind tree or house, they see you easily, without you seeing them. Enemy sniper can also see you pretty soon.

thanks for reply. remembering the scores on servers until yesterday was very normal. I used to crash very, very often. I kept on going because at least the scores were saved. Ok, half of the time I was busy trying to reconnect, but I could get decent weapons and such, so it kept being fun to me. OK, now I dont crash too often, but still.... remembering scores used to be so normal, I hope it will stay that way.

Hi, How can I deal with this: I used to crash from MP in arma2 every 10 minutes. Now I upgraded to Win7 beta. This has helped me quite a lot. Now I crash only once an hour or so :j: problem: crashed to server screen, or mostly to desktop, after restarting game and trying to reenter server, I can't get into server. (message: You were kicked from the server) This is possibly because it still has my username on it, and it wont allow me to login twice or something?? But this means that after a crash, I cant get back in the server. Even if an admin could be reached (which is difficult from out of the lobby), and he/she would delete my 1st name where I could reenter, probably my scores would also be reset. Thats quite frustrating. Anybody got some advice/help ? ***edit*** Just heard from an admin, that the crash from server/arma2 looks to have something to do with the server thinking it's an illegal program I'm having. (illegal copy degrading over time message or something). That's very frustrating after I have legally bought this game online :-( cheers, Johny

Turn PhysX off? For real? :O I'm in for a try though, so thanks.. Also DLed the SLI enhancement, will try that later too. thanks again ***EDIT*** Have now DLed the SLI enhancement. This made Nvidea control panel recognize the ARMA2.exe (which i renamed again from Crysis64.exe to Arma2.exe). With standard settings I started playing, which seems to work very good for me. have yet to try SLI settings + turn PhysX off ***EDIT*** Have now tried using SLI ---> works great (about 36-38 fps) With physX off I find video goes a little bit less though. Still keep crashing, though not so much anymore (in MP). When I do get an answer about the origin of error, it's always nvidea..... So hopefully THEY will provide new driver (newer than 186.xx) soon

You're welcome.... now.... are we still moving our files to Program Files ? lol :eek: Please let me know if you also get the message that 1.02 is already installed, Maybe we should reinstall to 1.0 and apply only 1.02 release 58134

Could be... Maybe we should move all installed files to Program Files ??? Or.... we could hand type all the changes ourselves ? :) Oh man.... I'm getting really tired of this patching which doesn't seem to be working :-(

Did you maybe rename to Crysis.exe or likewise?? Rename exe file to arma2.exe This did the trick for me, just then it said I had already patched with 1.02..... I know... but it IS for 1.00-1.02 right????? Should I reinstall game (1.00) and then use this 1.02(58134) patch ???? strange... I'm kinda looking forward to this patch, because it states to have solved many issues in which I think there are some problems in my pc (and why I cras in MP).

I have - i7 cpu 965@3.20Ghz - vista home 64 - mem 6 gb - nvidea gtx 280 (x2) 1- Maybe stupid question, but could someone tell me where I can find the Hyper threading? Not sure if it's on or off. My fps are about 32 multiplayer, but going to MHQ and arriving there first 5-10 secs are 2-6 fps.... My big problem is that I crash during Multiplay a lot :( 2- Tried SLI, but keep crashing then too. 3- I'll try the maxmem thingy too ..... 4- I'm also in doubt about yes or no to manually changing arma.cfg file. I'm not sure about the pros and cons yet..

I think you do: - options --> video --> open advanced options then look right under in screen (forgot what it's named, maybe fill resolution?) there you can change 2 resolutions. 1st is your screen resolution 2nd is the render resolution (equal or smaller to screen resolution) I think it's called rendering resolution ??? (advanced options at video settings) hopefully I'm correct and it's helping :-)

I agree some info on used specs from some testing machines would be helpfull. I've got a monster pc (in my humble opinion), and I keep crashing from especially online games. Single play is doing ok (without too many crashes and good graphics). cheers.
