I have to agree with thirdup, thats the main reason i cant play the "other"games watching 20 or 30 people leaping around like Michael Flatley from river dance kinda sucks. -
Any NooBs to Arma looking to play co-op (maybe PvP) ??
mutters replied to CaptainBravo's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
I should be able to make it this time -
I tried to put some bids on ebay for the track 4 pro and it ended up selling for the new price in America(I'm from the UK). All the dealers in the UK that i have found are selling them for silly money. RC Simulations i think are selling them for 150 for the basic track 5. Guess I'm going to have to send to the US for one. I cant understand why a great product like this is not freely avalible in the uk in some of the major stores.

I just read that arma2 has a inbuilt voice chat built in to the game,it also says that it gives better bandwidth balancing and 3d sound positioning. How do you configure this and is it any good,IE better than ts vent etc. thanks

This is the sort of thing I'm looking for,as i dont have the time to join a clan and be regulated as when to play. I aswell stalk the servers in the vain hope i may stumble on a good game. Would be good to do some small squad work to learn and get into the game in a more relaxed way. -
Hi I was a bit like you when i first started playing arma, but over time it started to dawn on me that this is the best game Ive ever played took a while for it to happen. I guess what sold it to me were firstly you need brains as well as brawn and the outcome of battles is not just down to who can click a mouse button quickest, tactics and trying to play as if you were in that situation for real makes a big difference in survival. Also when i played muliplayer for the first few times i thought it sucked, but as i carried on i found a goodish server and learned what to do and suddenly I'm loving every second. As well as this there are loads of people making missions add ons etc which add a dimension to the game second to none and if your ever stuck the guys here always help out, with anything you cant understand. Also you have the editor hours of fun messing about with it. You get a lot of game with arma its grown on me big time, cant imagine going back to click click bang bang games now.

I know the AI problems in arma are down to BI and hopefully will be patched, but do you think that a lot of these performance problems are down to the way people are building rigs,IE so many different variations cards cpu etc. Just makes me wonder how anyone could meet all the demands with so many variables. just a thought.

I got this game solely for the mountain bike and I'm most disappointed tried to pull a wheelie going down a mountain and hurt my nadgers, common bi get it together -
Well if thats true about whats in the patch id be better off jamming some toast in my DVD drive. just hope they add some performance enhancing stuff in the other stuff they will put in,and i don't mean a air freshener in a Humvee

Well an example of how smart my squad is thus. we were in a wood shortly after a major engagement when up jumped cooper and whittled a small picnic set from a fallen tree.
