I think we will have to wait for the 3rd instalment (Arma geddon ma bike)

There must be a simple way to resolve this, like joining the words together then runing some kind of filter over them so that they sound more natural and not broken. Edit, is it in fact the gaps between the words that make it sound awful, gaps being to small or large making it sound un natural?

Think you will be fine tbh, cranked up some of the settings to high on my 8800GTs 320mb and looks luvley at 1280x1024, and has been totaly playable in the senarios ive chosen so far, although ive not seen masses of AI yet. I do have a real problem with my motherboard over heating at the moment while playing, 50c is just to high and i have no idea what the problem could be.

Picked up my copy today, and from a newbies point of view it wasnt the steep learning curve i expected. I patched to 1.02 and run the benchmark. I got 19fps at 1280*1024 under xp 32. my specs: 8800 Gts 320Mb Pentium D 345 @3.4Ghz 2Gb OCZ XTC Gold at 800Mhz all set to normal and post pro effects off, nothing done to the configs or special optomizations done. Very happy with my purchase, thankyou BIS ;)

Just went to my local games shop in the Uk to buy it, but the clerk said he didnt have it, but if i paid now i will get it tommorow. So i paid and am hopeing i was not decived about my games arrival. Cant wait tbh so with any luck ill be getting stuck in tommorow :)

I dont buy anything over the net, but do use steam so my question is if i buy a hard copy of Arma2 then enter the cd key into steam will i get a non DRM copy?

Well your right of corse, i just havant looked for a torrent ;) , If its worth buying i buy, if its not, its not even worth getting a torrent of.

I would be suprised if Securom was used in Arma2, after all the bad publicity its recived and for the reason it dosent actulay work in the slightest to stop real games piracy. Sticking Securom on a game imho is just like asking for someone to crack it and make a torrent of it. Arma2 will probebly get pirated anyway, so BiS will lose some sales, but from what ive gathered about Bis in the week or 2 they are dedicated to there customers more so than many of the others out there, and that alone should bag them much more sales.

Read a massive article on Toms hardware i think? Anyway will post if i find it again. They took all the latest hungriest games, and tested them on i7's with 3, 6, and 12 GBs of ram. Not a single frame was gained by having more ram(with only the game running). As for load times they didnt say owt about it. But if its load times your after the SSD's are the way not more ram :)

could also go with 3X1GB as you will see no improvents in any game out there no matter how much ram you stick in. Unless of coarse your one of those people who has many apps running while playing games.

if could frow some money round id get very similar stuff. You wont lose half your HDD's capacity if you raid, unless you mirror, should get twice the read and right speed. If you have lots more money get 4 SSD's instead, like the OCZ 250Gb ones. EDIT: Sorry just realised totaly off topic.

Im guessing a few 100Hz OC will help you, also it still seems in doubt weather Sli cards are properly supported yet, when they are i guess youll be in a better boat than me :)

Nice to see you can get 10fps with that lowly HW my cpu a gpu are litteraly the next ones up from what you have, gives plenty of hope to me especilay if turning the blur off will give me a few extra frames. This game dosent appear to be the gpu and cpu killer some of us less fortunate are dreading.

I looked into it some and i think i will be fine tbh, hopeing for 1280X1024 or something like that and low/medium settings. Dont think i made it clear enough that i have a Pentium dual cpu @ 3.4 Ghz which from what i can make out has performance close to athlon X2 4400.
