You can try this launcher too ... realy easy and fast to switch mod folders on/off. -
Defrag. softw. Diskeeper 2009 Pro does the trick - removes the stuttering completely

Same prob here with the 1sec lag and untouched settings from 1.02. Happens only in online COOP games .... Hold (Berzerk) works fine ... now try the fresh install + 1.03. -
After installing 1.03 ARMA2 randomly crash/exit to desktop while playing online and i got that 2sec lags mainly in COOP missions ... that both did not happen with 1.02

Somebody with VISTA/7 64Bit and 8GB RAM tested for the known VRAM bug? Do this set of drivers fix this? -
@dsamlk Deinstall the 186.x driver and roll back to 182.50 ... works fine again.

Not in bites .... in Byte plz! -
What do you think about the possibility to resize the ingame map that now fits the whole screen. Actually when opening the map you cant see what happens around you. In my opinion the map should resize like the inventory window depending on your "menu size" settings. This would me more realistic too. What do you think?

I still have the VRAM bug with Nvidias 186.x driver + 8GB RAM and the updated patch. For me it only works to go back to 182.x or limit the ram to 4GB ... -winxp doesnt help for me. :(
-
Confirm that the prob still exists while testing with the latest nvidia driver 186.x and the new updated patch ... so we should go back to 182.50 ?

Huge performance gap between WinXP and Windows 7
technologickill replied to colej_uk's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x64_182.50_whql.html ... only VISTA drivers available but they work with 7 too -
When is Arma 2 going to be fixed for vista?
technologickill replied to Sinhouse's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Did you tried the older Nvidia driver 182.50? Maybe you are victim off http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=73232. Give it a try and delete you ArmA2.cfg before you start the game with the "new" driver version. -
Huge performance gap between WinXP and Windows 7
technologickill replied to colej_uk's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Seeing your specs (8GB + NVIDIA GTX + WIN7 64) i think you have the 256MB VRAM bug under WIN7. Are u using a driver newer than 182.50? Check your ArmA.cfg for the localVRAM value in your XP and Seven profile ... any difference? http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1318106&postcount=64 -

New Nvidia 186.18 Drivers
technologickill replied to von_paulus's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Thanks for your info Bruno ... and no, with 182.50 on WIN 7 RC the bug isnt present anymore. For now i still dont know what causes the bug but i want to know. Is it the newer NVIDIA driver with WIN7 and 8GB or is it a bug in ARMA caused by that special system specs? -
same here ... would be nice to know if theres a workaround available
-
Can't we totally turn off post processing?

New Nvidia 186.18 Drivers
technologickill replied to von_paulus's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I do with XP SP3 but if you believe different benches (here in the BIS forum) and the boost in ARMA Mark under WIN7 i stick with the older driver + WIN7 ... better than XP + 186.x drivers. -
New Nvidia 186.18 Drivers
technologickill replied to von_paulus's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
So it sounds like a prob with that WIN 7 RC or the 64Bit System ... so i have to wait for a workaround/patch. :( -

technologickill replied to von_paulus's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Means you have a 1 GB gcard and no bug ... same for me with the 182.50 driver (localVRAM=1056899072). Dunno but i think its somthing wrong with the amount of physical RAM (more than 4GB)!?
