Yeah i agree that it is really annoying hearing all the command stuff as a regular soldier. The problem with command channel is that it is to rigid, in that only squad leaders can be on it and quite often other people need to be on it too. That's why side is used. The best and smoothest in-game solution is ACRE in my opinion although a hassle to set up it is wonderful when it works.

There is kind off, you can rebind the keys and mouse movements for aircraft and vehicles individually. So just change the command for e.g. nose up to MOUSE UP/DOWN in the control settings.

Only thing i can think of is in reference to the "three_times_lucky.txt" filename but then it should be "three times bad luck" i guess. Maybe it was solved with brute force so nobody really knows yet.

Apparently they are working on some type of overlay compatible with Vista/7. Looks like you can get a beta if you sign up. Again, good luck!

Antigoon you are correct, there is such a feature in the zcommon pack. To use it, hold space bar and place the circle on a player. His name should be visible in the top right corner of your screen.
