Deactivated AVG a while ago but on your suggestion I completely uninstalled it and that fixed the problem so thanks.

Hi All, When I try to launch the game I get the following error message: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." This is my personal machine of which I am the admin of. No error logs are generated and I've tried re-downloading and reinstalling but I get the same error message. I've also tried messing around with the compatibility settings to no avail. My system is a good rig running the latest driver and windows 7 64 bit. Thanks.

Wow what a difference! Played trial by fire and had a 10 minute long sustained firefight going to and at the airfield. Usually it's over in a minute because of the laser accuracy. Very nice!

Alright how about I try and make it up and post a vid. Which is better: Quality but larger size (300mgs) or less quality but smaller size?

Sorry Dogtags, I really, really didn't think anyone would believe it. This probably isn't gonna help but the game is pretty incredible. I have to take a break because the mission I just did I was in a fire fight w/ machineguns and an apache buzzing over head giving support. It was all so loud my ears are ringing.

Yeah perhaps a readme included w/ the download would be good. Some of us are new to ARMA mods.

My game finally arrived this morning! After a few hours of playing I have to say that so far the game has exceeded my fairly high expectations. The graphics are great and the sound is good and crisp. I'm running at near fully graphics settings but I'll have to tone them down for MP. To be honest I expected the game to be a bit hacky but the game is very professional looking and has a great feel.

Alas it has not reached me. I guess it's at the postman's house right now. =(

USPS tracking says my game left PETALUMA and is on the way. PETALUMA is only a hour from where I live! gggahahhhhaaaggg!

I'm curious if the manual is a one a time read or is it something that I'll want to refer to over and over again. Most Steam games have the manual linked to the steam game page and can be read by anyone so the arma2 manual might be "out in the wild" on the 26th. And I have bought a few steam games just because I like what I read in the posted manual.
