well, I decided to give my old PC a spring clean, and, OMG, the CPU heatsink was full of fluff. I cleaned it out had a general tidy up and BINGO 20fps through the entire mission(well maybe a dip down to 17 in places) I can now play this mission properly. I still haven't finished it yet though. SD

Jeez, you weren't kidding about it being hard on the FPS, I was getting about 9fps in the heat of battle, too low, need to see what I can change. I was running around like an idiot throughout the entire mission, people were telling me to go here and pick this up, but I had no idea where it was. for instance I got a message telling me if I was able bodied, to get my ass to the eastern wing (where?) I guessed it was the right side of the base, then when I got there I got a message telling me to go to the armoury and get a AT weapon (where's that?). I then ran around like an idiot again looking for the armoury. The base then got overrun by tanks and we had to surrender. Great mission, what ARMA was made for, I just wish I could get more FPS for a better game experience. It would be good to have a bit more direction though. SD ---------- Post added at 09:11 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:59 PM ---------- well played it again, and almost finished it (I think) We managed to kill all the tanks this time, and got a message that the Chinese were on the way 15 mikes (that long, yikes!), well we managed to hold on and it was almost peaceful. I then got a message from a sexy oriental lady ;) but I missed what she said, I then heard one of the soldiers say something about APC's, but I couldn't find any, I ran all over that base, I even triggered the AT gun mission which I completed along with Razor team. But the mission didn't end. on the way back to the base though I saw someone running and shot him, "Blue on Blue" came the shout, damn, now I have to go fix him up. on teh way though I got shot and bled out before anyone could get to me :( Liking the mission, very chaotic as you would expect it in the heat of battle. Nice job Mate. PS your missus did a good job on the voice over :) SD

Hmmm. Looks like I broke your mission mate, sorry :) If you lok at this piccy I have no stinger task. I don't know where it went wrong but IThe last thing I did was plant the thermite on the chopper wreck (that brought up the save pilot mission) on the way I found and reported the IED, killed a few insurgents at the factory then carried on to the market mission. And thats where I am now, no stinger/AA mission. Should I start again? SD

I cant see any stinger teams, I have sneakes around the back and taken nearly all of them out, but no chopper arrives. and this grass is a right royal PITA, I can't see them because the grass is in the way, but they can see me from miles away. Give me a clue please, where are these stinger teams? I've spent nearly 2 days trying to clear the naffing market and I think I'm going stir crazy ;) ( I play with veteran settings so I have limited saves........ maybe I should change that :) ) SD

Any chance of porting this mission to some of the other Islands? maybe Isla duala or quesh kibrul. I am love this mission but I would like to see some different scenery, and these mountains! Sheesh. ;) SD

How did you guys complete the market raid mission? I am getting creamed. I have tried all sorts of things but these damn guerrillas are just too good :) Give me some pointers please , best tactics etc. SD

as the ACE wounding system doesn't work correctly in SP then I say dump it and stick with the BIS default, until (if) it is fixed for SP. As I am mainly an SP player I would rather have a fully working heal option than one that "might" work now and again and ruin missions for me, I am running into the not being able to heal my squad mates issues now in Ranger709's Jackals Revenge mission and it is annoying. SD

well I am finally playing the mission, I had to use a different ARMA Launcher program for some reason, but at least its working now. I have to say I am loving the mission so far, As Jason said, it's the little touches that make the difference like when I reported in the IAD on my way to interrogate one of the insurgents, I was surprised to see a team of engineers disarming the device on my way back. Great touch. I really enjoy these populated missions, it really conveys a sense that you are in a living, breathing world. I am now on my way to get the pilot, so wish me luck, I am really loving this mission. More please Ranger man :) [edit] Oh and the voice acting is really top notch. It is really adding to the immersion and pulling me in.[/edit] SD

Hmmmmm. This is weird, I now get that error when I try to play cold harvest mission and seal team six campaign. Thing is I was playing them perfectly yesterday. SD

I tried re-installing both of those mods, I even re-downloaded them, but I am still getting that error. Yes the mod folders are set up correctly. SD

tried it but didn't have a clue what I was meant to do. No briefing, mission started, some guy (spotter) took off running we took off after him and after running after him for an age I finally gave up. mate, if you gonna give us missions to test at least let us know what we're supposed to be doing. SD

I keep getting this error when I try and start the mission. I have all the required mods installed and check ed that they are all up to date, is there one I missed?

That's the point I ain't using any other mods apart from CSM2 SD

Am I the only one getting this? If I use the CSM2 mod I get the following error when starting ARMA2 even with just this mod enabled. [edit] Also get this error when I use TR Sounds but only the Rotary wing sounds and also with Robert Hammers Heli sounds so it must be some sort of issue with the UH-1Y [edit] Is anyone else getting this? Is there a fix for this? [edit2]Seems you have to have the ACE2 mod running in order for this to work, enabled tha ACE mod and the error went away[edit2] SD
