Hey... I hate to make a new thread, because I know for a fact one already exists. But you have to give me credit. I searched for it for an hour so it's not like I wasn't looking. So here it is lol, and if anyone can help out, thank you so much... I want to try mission editing, and the first thing I want to try is making a CTF map for Arma2. I can't find any tutorials on how to do this, nor threads. I used the search key, couldn't find anything, tried everywhere. I'm probably just not good at looking for stuff but I have been hunting this for an hour so I assume that it's okay to make a new thread in this situation. There is so much info on this place that it's impossible to find specifics sometimes. Thank you, for anyone willing to put in their two cents on this.

Don't take this the wrong way but this seems like it is a very selfish statement to me. How about how I feel with my immersion of the game by NOT being able to choose a female character? People should think about everyone, not just themselves. Don't worry. I read every post up to here. This is the one that stuck out most to me :( I'm not mad but it did put a frown on my face.

Yeah, sometimes it works great - especially at a distance. But sometimes, the AI can just see you; especially close up in mid day regardless of camo. I don't know, maybe in real life people can just instantly pick people out from behind trees. I've never been in real combat so I can't compare. It's possible people just have that sixth sense to do the impossible. But yeah, I've also had a problem where I find a good observation spot, and someone in multiplay comes up behind me, and fires a few rounds giving away my position! Next thing I know I'm getting all shot up because someone was on the field with no common sense.

It's off and on from my experience with Arma1. Sometimes I was able to crawl under a tank to place satchel charges, other times, I couldn't peak over a hilll while on my belly from 2000 meters away. Maybe they fixed this in Arma2

lol, I was only asking if there were female characters. Looks like I started a social discussion. The bottom line is that since I am a girl, and I want to play ArmA and feel as if I'm more into 'my own' character in the game, I wanted to have a female character. I don't want to only be in support roles. I want to be out there in the action with the rest of the guys. If the real military has a problem with that, than I'm thankful this is just a game and it doesn't matter. I am however, into flying and wouldn't mind piloting for an Attack Helicopter. So I guess, technically, that would be considered a support role, anyway. I would just love to have a female character. In Arma, men are given the ability to customize their character to their likeness with a wide variaty of voices, face options, and various other thigns. The male players have the option to customize a character to their likeness; As a female gamer, I would enjoy having the option to customize my in-game character more to myself, as well.

Thank you so much for providing a nice, kind answer to a simple question. One of the rude guys in here made a condescending statement concerning how often I play games like this in the form of a question. The answer is no, I haven't played games like this much. One of the things I've learned already is that places based on games can be filled with very rude people like sk3pt, and st!ger. Finding nice people like you, Dwarden, must be like finding a needle in a haystack. Is it always like this?

Are they sexist or something? What's up with that? They don't want women playing the game or something? Most all modern games have the availability for all players to comfortably get behind the controls. This is the first game in a while, that I know of, that hasn't given the choice. Alright; refined question then. Will there soon be a way to add a female character into the game as an addon - and if there already is, maybe someone can help me find it?

A friend got me interested in this game a few months back (Arma1), but there were no female characters. Will there be female characters for female players in the second installment? Yes, I'm a girl.
