humm wasnt there some sort of medical needle in one of the codes , medical and this name came up talking about how old medic tents used to be made from stone walls ?? Capt. Scott Miller, the 332nd Expeditionary Medical Support Squadron logistics chief, said, "Back in 2004, when the Army's Combat Support Hospital was built on the site, the tents were built on concrete slabs. The trauma bays in the emergency room were marked with tape on the floor. "When I was here in 2006, the (emergency room's) bays were marked with painted numbers on the concrete floor. "Because of the operations tempo being so high, later rotations ended up gluing a piece of vinyl sheeting to the top of the concrete to make it easier to clean and keep the area more hygienic," Captain Miller said. After the newly-built Air Force Theater Hospital became fully operational, airmen were tasked to tear down the old hospital, which drew the attention of some congressmen. In particular, the historical significance of the bay marked with "II," known as Bay II, is where the most severe trauma cases brought into the hospital were treated. That area earned the recognition of being the location where the most lives were lost and saved in the Iraq theater of operations. "When Congressman Michael Burgess, R- Texas, came to Balad (AB) and toured the old and new hospital facilities in August, he realized the importance of the old structure and requested that the Bay II floor of the trauma center be preserved for historical purposes," Captain Miller said. "That is when the coordination for the preservation of the hospital began." http://www.landstuhlhospitalcareproject.org/Troop%20Thanks/Iraq%20Field%20Hospital/IraqFieldHospital.htm EDIT : penicillin was one of the codes also the name scott miller cpt , also taking down/blowing down of wall was the silly animation we got .

Vehicle Shadows Missing
BigSlongsDaddy replied to Winteresque's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Have you tryed playing like a normal person with standard settings ? :p -
got a small problem , when someone dies it counts it as two deaths rather then one ,this is abit of a problem because that means that we double our chances each time in getting a mission failed, is it a possible problem with the mission or is that server side ? Other then that its a great mission , works really well, just got one question was you going to put some jets in like a-10s or something like that ?

Is the game meant to be played in 1st or 3rd person view?
BigSlongsDaddy replied to Stilla-Killa's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - GENERAL
I like abit of both , for car driving or flying i use 3rd person, but for fighting i will use 1st person , if im medic and healing people i will change from 1st person to 3rd person to look around as im healing , it just depends what you feel comfortable with. -

omg desert maps will be so crap , can you imagine all the snipers just picking off the enemy as they try to run over the sand dunes towards the small village that you posted at, i for one would be a sniper just racking up my score with bear kills, pure head shots all the way and the incoming enemy wouldn't have a chance. :p
-
yep thats right there is a new sli patch out for arma 2 you can find it here.. http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/nvidia_sli_profile_patch_uk.html EDIT: just had a go of arma2 and it seems like every one is in fast forward now, ha ha ha just not used to there being no lag , o and im using the 182.50 drivers with the SLI profile patch.

An open letter to BIS Devs re: GTX 295 rigs.
BigSlongsDaddy replied to wazandy's topic in ARMA 2 & OA - TROUBLESHOOTING
isnt this just a driver issue , there are no drivers out from nvida that support this game as yet maybe there are some to come , but in the read me of all the drivers there is nothing about arma2 support and sli , also nvida did not work with the arma2 team on the game because there is no nvida animation at the start up of the game ? -
